Season opener tomorrow. Frequently before games I check the opponent’s message board. Haven’t been able to find Earlham’s. They must have it invitation only or something…

I hate to think just how bad this could be.

I hate to think just how bad this could be. The quakers lost to IPFW last year like 100 some to 50 some. I don't see this being a challenge with a coach without a “no big deal, I lose to d2 teams all the time” attitude.

Even the walk-on will get some good run.

You guys ever look at the Facebook Ball State page? It’s very cheerleader like. No deep dives, No real arguments, no real cursing just articles with out much thought

I could see this free beer idea create bigger crowds in concourse than in the seats.
Sort of a tailgate crowd dropping in. At least the turnstiles will capture the traffic.

With usual number of students no problem, or a small one, but still the beer line is backed up.
IF it works better and draws more students than normal for a walk through it will be a fair amount of traffic in the concourse.
Might get quite a number who don't give a damn about BB (hell, bring your friends who have ID and don't drink to get you a refill!), it could be a bit of a mess.
I am all for a small mess if we open the door for some new student interest, but I have seen beer promotions go wrong, and selfishly like short lines for beer, and not to run out.

If you give students something other than Natty Lite they will line up and wait for hours

Free sounds so good...but the novelty of the University supplying alcohol will be the thing.
Which raises a question or two about whether this will end up biting Lewis in the ass. Especially if anything goes remotely wrong.

Last years Toledo game had a very large student attendance by giving away a Free Energy Drink! They were rowdy too!

Please. This is not Nickel Beer night at Cleveland Stadium in the '70s. Reel it in.

I remember when I was in school the University was doing everything in its power to stop students from drinking.
How times have changed.
