No, Omaha is God awful. #324 If we don't beat them rather easily, that would be a bad sign. I agree that we should roll this team. Anyone remember the game against them last year? We had a huge lead and nearly choked it away at the end. That was the final straw for me in terms of having any hope of Whitford leading us to any type of season that would be remotely successful. Omaha is bad, no way around that. Are we capable of playing equally as bad….I sure hope not. |

Hard to estimate strength, ratings are not very reliable. Although it appears from our experience ISU is stronger than expected..
This game Sagarin and other sources say we are favorites. 4 or 5 pts.
If we "roll them" it would probably be a very good result. They're at home have more games under their belt.
Two teams both different from last year. Anything is possible.

I understand the uncertainty but we should not be ok with, or accept the possibility, that a perennial Summit League bottom-dweller can hang with us. That’s why the near loss to Omaha and the spanking we took to WIU were so infuriating last year. I believe I made the comment that WIU looked good last year. That was a rubbish take on my part. We were just that bad.
This is as snobby as I will get on a basketball take. Haha! I usually expect the worst but anytime we play a 275+ KenPom team I expect us to win comfortably.

Oh wait! Omaha beat #352 Idaho. I take back what I said about them! In reality, these programs we are talking about are the very ass end of Division 1. I would much prefer we demonstrate tonight that we are NOT peers of these teams. |

linkI saw the teams warming up here briefly before it went back to just showing graphics. Hopefully we will get video when the game starts
