Was glad to see Windham knock a few down. I still think he's probably our best hope for consistent outside shooting.
Liked that Coleman, Sellers, Jacobs and Windham went something like 18-19 combined from the line. That kind of FT shooting from people who handle the ball will salt away a lot of close games. Wish Sparks would find his shot from the line. Will make teams less eager to play Hack a Shaq with him.
Even though neither did much, good to see Cleary and Hendriks get some time. We'll need them at some point, no doubt.
Gotta say Jacobs is about the only player right now who I feel confident when the ball is in his hands (Lewis must feel that way, too, because Jacobs must be averaging like 38 minutes a game.). Everyone else, I'm just waiting for them to throw the ball away.
I think there were 3-4 possessions in a row the second half that were the difference between this game being a 10-point win and a 25-point win. We were up 15-16 points maybe midway through the second half when we just had repeatedly stupid offensive possessions. If we convert there I think it's over for Omaha, but we turned the ball over, took a stupid shot, etc., and let them back in. Those type possessions will be the difference in closer games ahead.

Good thoughts, Mills. I think Sparks will come around on the FT's. I think he's the type of kid that presses a bit when he isn't doing what he knows he can. He wants to be good. He had a couple of assists last night and hit one of the guys on the wing for a 3 and that's something that he really needs to work on. I'm sure he one of the guys that Lewis was referring to in last week's postgame when he talked about scoring versus winning1 We need to be much more team oriented and winning oriented than scoring oriented. I didn't think Bum looked near as lost last night as what some of you complained about last week. Can't believe how we fell apart and most everyone was just throwing the ball around like a frisbee during a stretch in the second half.

That's what Lewis is trying to coach out of them. Won't happen overnight, but we're seeing progress. We didn't completely fold last night like we would have in the past.
