17 turnovers, 13 of them in the second half.
More turnovers than assists, 17 to 11. Other than the win, not much to be happy about this one.

IU South Bend site lists our game as exhibition. Did not see that indicated on Ball State site.

Road win by 10 isn’t so bad. Cards did play with more intensity and played real well in the majority of the second half. Good road win.

Cards win! Cards win! There are no ugly wins as the alternative is what is ugly. Good to see Sellers in the game and playing well after the injury. The red and white did seem to lose the momentum when they stopped moving without the ball. Too many whistles tonight.

It’s a road win. Bout all you can say about it. Long way to go and lots of work ahead. Good to have Sellers back. Really gotta cut down on the turnovers.

I didn’t watch the game, so I trust that it didn’t look great based on the comments, but we did cover the -4.5 point spread so in at least that aspect we outperformed expectations. Better to win ugly than lose pretty.

I got the feed. First time seeing these guys. I liked the intensity on D. Obviously things to clear up. I didn’t see a lot of bad decisions on shots which is a positive. A few of course, but better than in the past.

We are still not very strong with the ball when we drive to the basket. Outside of Sparks, I would say our next best finisher at the basket is Jacobs which is concerning. Sellers is ok at the rim but he’s still a little out of control. Last night Bumb and Pearson got pushed backwards going for a contested lay up. We have to keep trying to attack the basket though! Doing so will lead to more free throws and we did a decent job converting those.

Bad stretch of turnovers, fouls, questionable shots 2nd half about 6-8 minute mark. Had looked decent getting 18 pt lead. Bumb even hit a 3!! Team has to hit a couple more of those missed 3's and cut TO's, then we'd all be a lot happier. I was glad to see Pearson's play and that Cleary got minutes. Would like to get Owens White back and see Sellers get and hit a few looks at 3. |
