I am extremely curious why we saw Kelly tonight. Was that a bone to keep him out of the portal? He’s obviously a play maker a brings a spark, but they only let him throw 1 pass. WHICH WAS A 23 YARD GAIN. I’m baffled by not letting him throw. Can he possibly be worse than Paddock? It’s not like we can trust Paddock with ball security, so what the hell is it? I’m sure I’ll never know, and it’s going to eat me up when Kelly transfers and leads some Sun Belt team to a conference championship.

Pathetic doesn’t begin to describe this team tonight. Nue should be put on notice and Lynch fired. I have such a horrible taste in my mouth about this coaching staff. 🤢🤮

I've wanted Neu to succeed but what an indictment against his coaching this season has been.
I know 5 wins was about what a lot of people expected, but how many games did we lose that we should have won?
How many games did we play against teams missing significant players on the other side of the ball? How many 2nd and 3rd team QBs did we face? 2nd and 3rd team RBs? 3rd and 4th team WRs?
And given that, the defense performed pretty well, but the offense was horrid (other than Steele), and Neu couldn't/wouldn't budge from Paddock. It's not really Paddock's fault. I'm damn sure he did his best, but he shouldn't have been out there probably after the 5th or 6th game, if not earlier.
I'm glad Neu at least put Kelly in the game today, but the QB usage late in the game was ridiculous. Kelly in the game late? Defense worries about Kelly and Steele, nobody else. Paddock in game? Rush 3, drop 8 into coverage.
There's no way that Kelly, if he had just a few games as a starter under his belt, could have been any worse than Miami's Smith was tonight. And Smith won. And if the defense actually had to worry about Kelly passing at all, he probably could have run all night.
I hope Neu can keep this team somewhat together but I couldn't blame any kid who decided to leave.

I am probably the only one but I think Paddock moves on. I guess we will see whose here in the spring. If Kelly is given the job then yeah he’s gone. But they won’t let Kelly pass or be on the field on third down. So I dont see him getting the job. |
