This is a master class in parsing a message to re-direct a conversation which you did quite literally, editing out my last message where I clearly said what I think is really going on and how it should be addressed. I edited your post to show you exactly what I was responding to. I think the only fair way to discuss is to be clear. In your world, one should come to this forum and name names, otherwise the information is invalid but others who have little birdies in the program aren't asked to do the same. That's not true. I have no problems with unnamed sources providing a variety of information. But when you're going to accuse someone of something serious (e.g. racism that at least one poster has said should result in Neu's firing if true), then that's bullshit. If you came on here and said you heard Kelly had played great in practice all year we would not be having this conversation. And your response confirms EXACTLY why the players are reluctant to say anything-the conversation gets focused on you rather than what you are experiencing. The only way to fix the problem is to address it. Whenever anyone accuses anyone of anything, the credibility of the accuser is a valid consideration. If they don't want to have that microscope on them, that's fine, they can choose their course of action. If you were accused of a crime and your accuser was not a credible person, you'd probably want to point that out. I never called Neu racist or attacked him personally. (I think he is a good man whose stubbornness and unwillingness to change has cost us.) I did say there are more than a few players who are absolutely feeling they are being treated differently. In either event, that concern should be addressed so it doesn't fester. And it is Neu's responsibility to do so. To spare myself more selective editing and deflection that's my final comment on this. I will admit that I did think you used the word "racism," but going back through the quotes I see that was cardman. Glad you decided to stop talking about this, wish it was by admitting that you shouldn't have done it in the first place rather than because you got called on it, but whatever. |

I’m down for talking about anything anytime as long as it’s respectful and done without malice. Yes as the only moderator sometimes I have delete something but that is very rare. Yes I let people argue on here because 9/10 times it’s venting and everything works itself out. If people really want to argue and name call there’s a couple hundred page thread with plenty of that. So now about my birdies that someone brought up. I jumped all into Ball State about 15 years during that time I’ve met so many people many of which I’ve became great friends with. I was asked to take over this board, I started another twitter site for Ball State so yes at times I may hear or know things a bit before others. The reason why I do though is people trust me if they say do not say anything I do not till I see it posted elsewhere or it’s became common knowledge. I take this very seriously and over the years my track record speaks for its self. If I post something it’s grounded in truth and long time posters know this So no they do not ask me to prove it. I don’t know if these claims of race are true or not but I’m not going to worry about it much nor am I going to dismiss them. I have not heard them from anyone else but I’m not in the locker room or near the program, If I start hearing more about from others I’m going to post about it because if true it’s a huge problem and needs to be dealt with .. Here is a big fact---we lost the last three games. In those games the passing and play calling were questionable at best. That is on Neu and Lynch.
