I wish someone would ask Coach Neu some tough questions about tonight and the year but they won’t.
“Tell us how disappointing this loss was for you.”

Neu should apologize to the team for this game and this season, but I assume that doesn't inspire a team's confidence in its coach.

I am extremely curious why we saw Kelly tonight. Was that a bone to keep him out of the portal? He’s obviously a play maker a brings a spark, but they only let him throw 1 pass. WHICH WAS A 23 YARD GAIN. I’m baffled by not letting him throw. Can he possibly be worse than Paddock? It’s not like we can trust Paddock with ball security, so what the hell is it? I’m sure I’ll never know, and it’s going to eat me up when Kelly transfers and leads some Sun Belt team to a conference championship. I hope for Kelly's sake he transfers and dominates somewhere else. This staff will do him no good. No doubt. What an untenable position they’ve put him in. If he does come back we’ll all be clamoring for him if he isnt playing and expecting him to be the savior if he does play. Which again makes me so curious why he played tonight? Why give us all a sneak peak at some explosiveness that we’ve been missing all season? Why let Paddock throw the screen pass on 3rd and 20 and not Kelly? I almost dont even care that we lost the game, I’m so consumed with curiosity. |

I’ll say it. Neu is a joke. Lynch is a joke. Play the wrong guys, call the wrong plays, make brain dead decisions. Choke away a game we no business losing as we have so many times under Neu. Unacceptable and ridiculous. 3 game losing streak to end the season and two of those 3 were completely winnable. Blow the EMU game that was totally winnable. Why? Cuz we’re loyal to a bad qb and to a bad offensive coordinator. No other reason for losing all 3 one possession games over the last month than extremely poor coaching. Wish the next AD would have the ability to make a change. I was fully supportive of Mike and had high hopes. Not any more. Lead 17-6 in the 4th and lose? Sit players who could make a difference? Call passing plays when your stud RB is rolling? But then make the most predictable calls of all time on 3rd and 4th and one? How bout punting Miami deep instead of giving them the ball at midfield since the OL wasn’t gonna block anyone ? (And how does a senior DB get beat deep when the only way Miami could beat us was with a TD?)
So fed up and frustrated right now.

The only thing that could salvage the situation is if they dump Lynch and bring in a good OC. That might convince some to stick around. The defense was good enough to win the MAC. If the play calling on offense was improved this team could be playing in Detroit. Neu is ultimately responsible and decided to play a horrible qb all season long when we clearly have some talent behind him. |

The prevailing sentiment in the pre-season poll was that we would win 4 or 5 games.
That number was predicated on having a young team that was a year away.
We actually had better than 4/5 win talent this year and the coaching staff decisions held them back from a better season

With the portal, what gives you guys the idea that we even keep Steele let alone QB Kelly? Could be right about both but at least we have some intriguing options at QB still even if Kelly goes. I sure hope he stays though, I was very impressed with his brief appearances tonight. |

I dont think I have ever seen a coach as bad with a 4th quarter lead than Neu. And I think I’m one of the few here that still likes Neu. Maybe I will look it up tomorrow, but I want to know this: when we have the lead to start the 4th quarter, what percentage of games have we extended that lead? |

So Blazek is supposedly better than Kelly? I mean, Kelly definitely looked like he deserved a better look, so I wonder what Blazek might have looked like. Even if they wanted to redshirt him, they could have been playing him some these past few games. Just bewildering decision-making. |
