Cincinnati's WVXU-FM is reporting a new "Cincinnati Chili Bowl" game in the new Major League Soccer stadium there. It would match teams from two unidentified "Division I" conferences and air on the CW network. www.wvxu.org/media/2022-12-29/ci...on-tvkieseGiven the location, it seems ready-made for the MAC. Despite the announcement, the game has not yet been approved by the NCAA.

Or, I may offer to enclose the stadium and collect the methane to offset the event's carbon foot print.

I just can't believe there's no bowl game at Lucas Oil. It's ready-made for it. Call it the Naptown Classic.

Have you ever been to Cincy or Boise?
Cincy beautiful with hills and the Ohio river adding tons of character. I lived there five years.
Boise great outdoor city with beautiful Mountain View’s and cool downtown area and vibe.
We will go if Ball U is in either bowl.
Indy (lived there 5 years as well)…no thanks
Now Detroit and NY (pinstripe)….uhhhh that’s a hard no!

I guess you're just not a true fan. It's ok - more glory for the rest of us who actually do support the red and white.

I didn’t state we wouldn’t show, just would prefer not to have to. A drive down 69 for an hour is not a reward for the players. Don’t get me wrong, great people in Indy.

Honestly, I wouldn't expect it to host one of the podunk bowls we usually get to play in.

I've been very surprised over the years that Lucas Oil Stadium doesn't host a bowl game. Despite the cold weather, the city supports sporting events well and is a great host. It certainly beats the heck out of Detroit! Sure, there's a strong chance you'll get murdered while visiting, but people still come here none the less.
It would be a good bowl venue for Ball State, as it would greatly cut down on costs *IF* done right.
Having said all of that, I'd think bowl games would start disappearing instead of being added. I find this move quite surprising by Cincy, and it wouldn't shock me if this fails to materialize.
