Free throws 17 of 20. Great win. I don't think Boogie had one turnover...can someone confirm? He had a key turnover in Toledo's comeback, but otherwise better ballhandling. He took several ill-advised shots, but made some of them. He was unstoppable for a stretch. |

Overall, Coleman had a good game but he reverted to a little Boogie of old with the ball down the stretch.
Did you notice we had to remove Sparks down the stretch?

Solid win. Toledo has so many offensive weapons. We also had to overcome some serious home-cooking. There were several phantom fouls against us, especially our guards. Jacobs was just special. Coleman was jeykl and hyde - absolute stud for stretches and downright a fool for stretches. I believe we closed the game 10/10 from the FT line (note Lewis kept Sparks out of the game when it became a ballhandling and FT shooting contest). Jihad played good defense tonight so that helped a lot. Sparks not in at the end was probably a smart decision. I figured Toledo would hack-a-Shaq him down the stretch of the game was close. |

Loved the realization of the Sparks FT liability. That kind of thing Whitford would have missed. So great to see some coaching at long last!

It is huge. If not entirely a new headline.
But, we've not been as good in a conference opener. Not had 3 guards play as well.
Jacobs and Coleman stepped up when they tried to keep Sellers from beating them.

Key stay we had 12 offensive rebounds to 3 which pretty much off-set our 10 turnovers. Great game and start in the MAC. Love this team.

Got to watch the 2nd half. Absolutely loved the way we regrouped when lead was cut to 2 points. How many of us immediately thought we’d seen this movie before & expected a loss. Coleman & Jacobs were tough in the 2nd half. We are a damn good team with a damn good coach. Huge TO’s down the stretch!! GoCards!! We Fly!!!
