Just a question for anyone who might have actually attended the game. Attendance was listed at 5,660. Wondering if that was a legit figure because it's a LOT larger than their normal crowds. They only drew 1,600 for Toledo.

I root for IU, Purdue and Notre Dame along with my favorite Cardinals. I’m a college basketball nut hell I root for Duke sometimes. I wouldn’t root for IU for anything, any sport, any time! However, Lewis has made a believer out of me!!! For the players, for a great team or coach, I'd admire that, give it it's deserved support, even enjoy it. What regrettably prevents most of the possible pleasure is a legion of jackass fans, and boosters. Takes the fun away too often. |

On our first possession Sparks could have or should have gone strong to the basket but tossed it back out to I think Coleman who missed a 3. Sparks seemed tentative. I would have liked him to have really used that strength to challenge that double team more. He has a chance to get fouled which is a liability but maybe give Coleman, Sellers and Jacobs more time to get open. Kent talent level is off the chart compared to rest of MAC. Their defense is excellent and we proved that as they took the ball from us like taking candy from a baby. I think everyone is playing for second place and a spot in the NIT. I thought the only players on our team that were not intimidated were Bum and Jihad and even Hendricks late. We may play better later against them but the results will be the same.

My observation is Sparks was worried about getting into foul trouble and is backing down his aggression. We just aren't deep enough inside to have that happen. The kid has been triple teamed and mugged in the lane all season. Lately calls have been going against him. He's also committed some stupid fouls. He's playing like he always has four fouls. |

I count 3 lopsided MAC games. Now look into the box scores. Did they pull away late, or was it over before halftime like last night? I don’t recall the early disintegration like was witnessed last night.

Interesting thread, but we were just beat down in every phase of the game. It happens. The real test will be how this team responds Tuesday night. I trust this staff to get us back on track. To have us where we are now is a testament to them. Nobody had BSU the #2 in the MAC going into that game. We are limited in talent but will still be around to compete. I was most disappointed in Boogie and our starting guards. They need to toughen up and play with an attitude. That was missing.

Lets be reasonable I think NIT bid first-year w/Lewis as coach great accomplishments but this season is FAR from over.
Kent will probably roll through rest of the season, well in the top 25 by time conference tournament starts, maybe even mid-rank in #20-#15 range who knows they are just that damn good.
