Big game at Kent on Friday... it will be nationally televised. We'll have to come ready to play if we want to have a chance. We'll need everyone to show up big and play hard. Hopefully a good game plan is in the works...

We'll have a good plan and I am certain we've done a very good scout. It's gonna be about execution against that stellar backcourt. Kent really defends and we struggle against ball pressure. And, we quite honestly are not deep so fatigue and foul trouble are major concerns. We gotta get the ball inside in good spots to score, and we have to FREAKING FINISH at the rim. So many blown layups. Part of our problem is our bigs too often hesitate and lose any position of strength going up. Just go up strong and whatever happens happens. Don't assume a foul (and definitely don't assume MAC refs are going to call the contact) Gotta just finish the play.

A great midseason test. Hate that we have to go to Kent, and face the same officiating that we saw at Ohio.
Great preparation for the trip to Cleveland in couple of months.
It's all about defense, turnovers, free throws, and good decisions.

Biggest thing will be containing sincere carry. That dude can straight up hoop. Also, it'll be interesting to see what emotions happen when we play against Miryne for the first time this year. Could get a little chippy.

Thomas we can't ignore, but no sense making him a key. If he disappears in the crunch, as he so often has, great. If we play with their guards we can do an adequate job against his best. He's better this year but Pearson, Jihad are improved too, and Coleman's a new player.
Despite our good games we may be a 9 or 10 point underdog. They have the harder job being ready, but with the home court advantage.

Kent's 3 losses are all against current top 25 teams.
Kent is unbeaten at home (same with us and Akron).
Kent is receiving votes in the AP poll.
Kent is 82.1% favorites according to ESPN (it's got a decimal point so it's probably extremely accurate).

Could get a little chippy. It's easy to get into Miryne's head.....and he's lazy. Kent's guards are the focus I'm sure

1000% chance of this one getting chippy and damn near out of control I don't care much about the rest of the conference but I am looking forward to the Kent-Akron games this year.

Somebody brought up thomas this is what Ive gathered. I cant speak as to the validity of it.
He told me prior to Whit being fired He was done BSU. He would either go play in Europe or grad transfer but he was leaning Europe. I believe at the time he had already graduated course wise and was just waiting to walk orvsomething,
at some point around whit being fired graduation but before Lewis arrived Thomas goes home to cleveland. When he returns his locker is empty. Contents thrown away and he is told He can longer use facilty to workout/hangout etc
He never met or has spoke to Lewis

He was his own worst enemy while here and if he had stayed I think Lewis would make him much better and we'd be a beast. I think he's probably in an environment and with a coach that best suits him.

That coach has changed him, has harder edge plus the luxury of benching him unless he gives more effort. We got a lot out of him, but just could not get him 100% engaged for the whole game. Thomas thought he knew it all. Plus we could not bench him. We really had nobody there. Lewis has got more out of Windham by building him up, getting his attention better, too, but that harder approach isn't working now because Pearson has become the needed glue the lineup needs more than shooting. Windham probably isn't quite accepting that it appears and has some of Thomas in him in mental lapse and not really accepting a role beyond the obvious one of shooting. He really wants that shot... I hope we can get him back to his best play.
