They know who they are…the Ball U grads that root for IU basketball and thinks it walks on water…would probably deep down, root for IU if they played Ball U. I’m happier that Lewis learned under Cronin than Knight. Work to do, we’ll see if he has what it takes.
Question, did Majerus ever get blown out like this? Just asking?To answer your idiotic question, in Majerus' first season, where we went 14-14, yes the Cardinals were blown out. Multiple times. Ohio State - 22 Purdue - 49 Miami of OH - 11 Central MI - 21 Ohio - 20 Bowling Green - 21 So tell us again about how Majerus' teams were so disciplined and kept the team in the game in HIS first season as a coach here? It is Lewis' first season as a head coach and he's got the Cardinals at 13-6. I'm sorry he came from an IU background which apparently makes you instantly hate him, but he's a damn stretch better than what we've had over the last few head coaches. And if this team tanks down the stretch and ends up close to .500 overall, I will eat my words, but until then, I'm going to enjoy the wins we've had so far. |

The point is Majerus’ teams were very disciplined. If the offense was off the defense and discipline on offense kept them in the game. Good shots vs bad shots. The spread was 9, not 21. The jury is still out on Lewis, as expected this far into the season. Better than Whitford of course. Didn’t take much. Yes the jury is still out I think that has been posted on here everday for the last month bymultiple people. Defense wins yes, Good shots are good yes.... All of those things are 100% better than last year. We are a better team than .we were last year but I dont think anyone thinks we are Great team |

I thought Majerus walked on water. We are playing 6 deep it will be Miracle if we make it to the tourney alive but dont discount the improvements we have already seen |

Kent played well.
We can play better.
We have limitations.
Blowouts happen.
Top teams in country this year have played 20 points below their expectation.
Whether it's Majerus, Bob Knight or anybody else that can happen.
Fan forums see a few posters meltdown and things get stupid. Most here seem to understand all this.
Team and good coaches aren't happy but have to move on and get ready for next game.

Just for the sake of saking… in Majerus second year we went 29-3. Almost unbeatable, right? We lost to Ohio 71-57. Bad games happen. They just do. Even to one of the best teams in our history, coached by a legend. Even the Sweet 16 team got hammered late in the season by Toledo.

I root for IU, Purdue and Notre Dame along with my favorite Cardinals. I’m a college basketball nut hell I root for Duke sometimes. I wouldn’t root for IU for anything, any sport, any time! However, Lewis has made a believer out of me!!! |
