Well it was a good day until I got onto the WMU campus. Flat tire crossing the train track by the softball field. My car is one that doesn't have a spare and the tire was not repairable by the stupid little kit that was included with the car. Car had to be towed to a tire place. A nice campus cop helped us get a tow. Then we play like crap and lose to a team we should never lose to. Good news though, we made it to pick up the car 10 minutes before the shop closed. Now 3 hours driving home. Shit. So much for my first basketball road trip since COVID. Man, talk about an omen….. |

I am making trip to Kzoo with the wife Saturday. I’ve been there once and there nightlife is great. Plan to hit the game and then Waldo Campus Tavern. Been to Kalamazoo Beer Exchange where your beer price fluctuates based on popularity. The last time I went, I think Ball State football got beat like 51-10. That was Coach Lembo’s least finest moment. Well, I hope you’re happy. |

Bullshit. Western is vying with Eastern Ill as the worst team on our schedule. Programs that are on their way to championship contention do not lose to teams of this caliber.
Maybe someone needs to scream some f-bombs in Lewis's face so he understands this sort of thing is not tolerated anymore?

Bullshit. Western is vying with Eastern Ill as the worst team on our schedule. Programs that are on their way to championship contention do not lose to teams of this caliber. Maybe someone needs to scream some f-bombs in Lewis's face so he understands this sort of thing is not tolerated anymore? I sat 5 rows behind the bench today and thought Lewis was very restrained verbally. I heard bullshit once and that's it. Maybe they need it. |

Sorry. The worst part of it was Lewis interacted with some Worsten fans early on and then they wouldn’t shut up. They were right in front of me. Most annoying fans of a 6-20 team I’ve encounter but the Cards deserved it. I will never travel for another game again. Message received.

Went to the game and the game was no fun from the beginning. The Cards couldn’t hit threes in warmup and didn’t in the game. Lost count of the air balls by the Cards. Some terrible untimely turnovers. It was a shit game. As for University Arena, it has to be the worst facility in the MAC. Been to both Kent and Akron, small but not an armpit like WMU! Only place I have not seen is Central - has to be better than Western. Our place is a Palace next to Westerns dumpster gym, it’s not even a good Indiana high school gym. Concession stand, bath rooms, WOW! But their team, never the less, totally out played the Cards today! Hope we get to 20 wins!

What really sucks is this season can very quickly go way off the rails. We could legit end the season on a 5 game losing streak. Let’s hope that is not how this thing goes but we clearly are a fragile team with very little margin for error. Which direction will we go from here?
