Thankfully this game is over. The red and white end their season on a four game losing streak. It sucks.

I had to turn it off before halftime. Looks like more of the same in the second half. Wow!

TV analysts projecting BSU to CBI post season tournament. After that performance I hope not. The guys are clearly done. Let’s just be done.

This, on the heels of a 3-game losing streak. Not a good way to end the season.

Please. Do not even consider CBI, TBC, CIT, or any of the other outlier alphabet soup tourneys. Just stay in Muncie.

I can't see us playing again this year. Now we see who stays and who leaves. Will there be any portal gems in this crazy college world? Lots of work for the staff to do rather than a meaningless pay-in tournament.

It’s over. Let’s just save the money and go recruit. He’s gotta find some ballers. We need yo get longer and find guys who can shoot and go off like random guys go off on us all the time.

Not a good way to go into the off season but playing in a crap tournament probably wouldn't help. It was a fun season. I'm sad it's over. It's been a while since I felt that way at the end of a season.

At least it was quick and painless. Good season overall but terribly disappointing finish.

There are some pluses to playing more games. At least IF the injuries are manageable and IF we can play to our potential. That seems the question. I don't think this game is a case of Lewis losing the team, but rather a function of the injuries and reduced ability to practice hard for injured players.
I do think we peaked and reached our potential mid season and as it wound down could not fine room to improve. We did not have at any time the depth you need to finish strong. We had good news with Jihad becoming a reliable player but neither Bumb or Windham proved to be scores off the bench and we had no defensive stopper off the bench when needed. That is a matter for recruiting or perhaps player development by the freshmen. Post season could help with exposure for recruiting in the portal where a player sees he will have a chance to make a difference and will be playing on a good team. IF. While this was not the end of the season we wanted, and yes the disappointing finish and the losing streak had a couple of clunkers in it but that stretch also included good effort in losses against top teams in the MAC, including the road game and a notable win against Kent, so the theory that Lewis lost the team doesn't seem to me conclusive at all.

I also don't think Lewis lost the team but something was missing. We definitely failed to match the intensity of Eastern Michigan (second half), Toledo, and Ohio. At least they gave us the Kent State win.

At least they gave us the Kent State win. Maybe he didn’t lose the team, but we definitely lost something. Started with the Wmu loss. Got it back vs Kent then lost it again, especially in second halves. A big part of that has to be fatigue. And, quite honestly, those cats weren’t used to being pushed that hard and for that long. With no real bench to speak of to turn to we just broke down.

At least we have another year without the stress of tournament competition. Hopefully we won’t buy-in to a turd tourney.
