I definitely saw some improvement, but less than I was hoping for. His frosh year he was 100% left-handed. He obviously worked on his right hand around the basket last summer. He didn't make as many right-handed shots as you would like to see and needs to continue to improve. Also, coming off his impressive frosh year he saw double teams his entire soph season. He got better at passing out of those double teams. He still needs to add to his offensive arsenal. Baby hooks with either hand should be developed. Needs to be able to face his opponent and knock down 10-12 footers. I would not bet against his continued improvement. I'm still so bummed that he is leaving!

While yes, seeing dream shakes and up and unders every game would be a very nice addition to his game… even just right handed hook shots. I’m not disappointed in one bit this year as he made all second team and damn near average to double double. He’s the best true big we’ve had since Jarrod Jones.

Haven't though about Jarrod Jones in long time. But I would DEFINITELY take Sparks over Jones.

But Jarrod took many plays/games off.....

But Jarrod took many plays/games off..... Jones had the same demeanor as his coach. Too bad as he was as talented as anyone to play for us. No motor and toughness. Unbelievable skills but just no sense of urgency.

Makes it sound like he always wanted to play there, which doesn’t match other things he’s said but whatever. If iu wants him I’d say it’s a done deal.

You don't replace a big like they are losing.

Spent some time reading the IU fans’ reactions to Sparks visit. The general vibe is they are disappointed if he signs. They want Woodson to set his sights higher. Also, most only see Sparks as a backup getting maybe 15 minutes per game. If he goes there I hope he proves them wrong. Wherever he goes, he will need a big summer of skill development to ensure a bigger role at a P5 school.

It was very apparent in the tournament that IU needs to get more athletic. If anyone is paying attention, the teams that are left are crazy athletic and long. Just don’t see Sparks as a fit at IU. He would be a better fit at Purdue because of his ability to pass out of the high post. We shall see.

Sparks will see limited time on court at IU under Woodson.
I saw Jones play against Arizona in Tucson & that game he was just as good as Arizona's big men. No doubt he was playing his best.
