Obviously not the same as being on field level, but if you ever have the opportunity to visit another game at South Carolina, you should take it. A number of SEC fanbases got their feelings hurt when Mike Leach said the closed end portion of the stadium was the loudest he’s been in the SEC. He wasn’t wrong. When it’s an overflow crowd and sandstorm kicks in, the place gets taken to another level and the stands start swaying. What made it cool was the place was packed, everyone was on their feet cheering. It so happened they were coming out the same time we were! You are correct. It was electric. Almost all SEC schools are just a level up from everyone else. I was at Arkansas for a game, and 72k drunk rednecks yelling "WOOOOO, PIG SOOIE!!!" was a lot of fun.
