I think this board should give Neu some credit after bashing him and the play calling all off season. He played all 3 QBs and shown some creativity. Long season but I am encouraged. I just hope all our player don’t get injured.

Until this series by Kentucky, the total yards by both teams were equal.

I just hope all our player don’t get injured. Have to agree. It was nice to get a look at all three. One stood out above the rest. Probably still start Hatcher at Georgia and protect the Cal Kid! Need to be more creative with Kelly. |

Defense held up as long as it could. Offense put them in some really bad situations. Semonza clearly has promise.
More concerned about losing Call and Pemberton at this point.

Suspect Neu and Lynch will be the only people wondering who the best QB is after this game, because from what was on display today it's really hard to believe that wasn't evident during camp.

A few personal observations.
Is it just me or do mediocre MAC teams always seem to give up at least one game changing TD against P5 teams? The Koziol fumble return and the KO return TDs were devastating and that seems to be a hallmark of average teams against bigger opponents.
I thought all three QBs availed themselves pretty well. That said, Semonza is too talented to not play now. Are you going to wait til he suffers through an Indiana winter and watch him leave because you didn’t give him the job when he clearly looks ready? I’m guessing they’ll play Kelly regardless throughout the season but coming out of the Georgia massacre they’ve got to decide and unless the kid completely shats the bed he’s gotta play, right?
The defense played pretty well for the most part but as expected we had some guys lost in the secondary too often and we didn’t maintain discipline on a few big runs.
I watched the replay on the Coll injury multiple times. It looked like high ankle sprain at best and maybe a break at worst. They aircasted it and called for the cart which led me to speculate the latter. Sure hope that’s wrong because he’s your leader, a tackling machine and a great young man. Plans to be an Orthopedic Surgeon ironically after football.
Play calling was good and bad. We were far more creative at times especially with the different Kelly looks. Flip side, our jumbo package stubbornness inside the five was pure Neu. Yeah, let’s see if we can overpower an SEC d-line with the same call or a hurry up QB sneak multiple times. Pure stupidity.
Back to the Koziol fumble, it was a freak play and minus that he was a force. As good as Brady Hunt is, Tanner is a stud too. If one or both returns next year it will be a miracle. Both are legit NFL prospects.
Let’s pray we don’t have more injuries than we know about and hope we survive the physical onslaught that Georgia will unleash next week.

real quick Im melting and gotta drive home. Hatcher should not be starting which he will and I get starting him iat Ga but Hands down Semonza was better it was not close. Yea we got stomped but there were alot of good things
