If Semonza is as good as we think he won't be here 4 years so I'm not concerned about burning the red shirt. The question is can the season be salvaged and who gives us the best chance to win now if it can be. I think it's Hatcher. If the season is not salvageable play Semonza. To me the Kelly thing is a distraction at this point. Let him go if he wants. I'm done with this mess. Kelly hasn't been given a chance. Getting 3 plays at qb a game doesn't cut it. If there is a mess it's Neu's doing. I don't think Kelly has handled the situation poorly. I say give him a full game and see how the team does.

The biggest issue in my opinion is we are in year eight of this coaching regime and we have a revolving door at QB.
Our HC is a former QB who also has coached QB's at a professional level, yet our last three QB's have been Neal, Plitt & Paddock. None improved or ascended during their tenure. In our league, QB makes or breaks you. In our case, breaks.

If you are a college football coach and refuse to change the style of play to fit the talent on hand you will fail...Coach Neu, wake up and smell the coffee

First, there may not be coaches or players all that good at the proposed change. Not clear at all. Second, talking about QB, going from pro set to RPO is changing a lot across the whole offense for what could be a failed experiment. We could probably do more, that's been kicked around here for a year. But, still, it's not an easy obvious simple question.

Either give the kid a full shot or tell him he only plays WR and gets some passes and jet sweeps. If he needs to find a different school that'll give him a real shot at QB, so be it. He seems to be a really good kid who's hung in there for his teammates. Either way, we need to do SOMETHING. If Neu stays (bet that's the case) he's got yet another possible stud QB coming in next year. Assuming that kid sticks with us after this shit show. So, does HE get developed. Does he challenge Semonza right off the bat? I've lost all confidence in Mike and staff to actually develop and maximize the QB's he's brought in. As much as I want to see Semonza right now, and would love to see Kelly get a true shot, based on the last two games it does appear Hatcher is our best bet. Not that we have much to wager.....

Reading this thread, it seems like BSU is verifying the old saying "When you have two quarterbacks, you have zero" and maybe suggesting the corollary "When you have three quarterbacks you have negative one"
