Is it just me or is there always some “really good” QB just a year away? I'll let you know next year.

"Really Good QB? Doesn't make any difference. We have now highly touted QBs and maybe get another one from Illinois. Our out of date playbook has and will continue to limit the talent and development of these QBs. We need to have game to game imaginative approaches that will turn these guys loose. What we do now is having great talent and potential held back. Like holding Secretariat back for the whole race. Thinking of Kelly here and being held back. Hatcher looked good and we did throw it down field but the rest of the team fucked up.

We don’t have great receivers and our most talented wr is out. That combined with our best TE maybe be done for the year without even stepping on the field has definitely handcuffed any shot at a meaningful passing attack. Magwood is coming on and Edwards is decent but the other guys are just kinda out there running around aimlessly. Defense had been disappointing.

The entire program is at a point of no return. Neu has lulled the school, fans, and alums into a ho-hum state of no hope. It is time to end this charade of a college program and inject new blood. Sorry coach, but your method of not making needed changes in your coaching staff and offensive/defensive schemes has led you to being the captain of a ship with no rudder. Thanks for the service to the University but it is time to move on.

The entire program is at a point of no return... Thanks for the service to the University but it is time to move on. Well said. Except for the little details of when and how. It does capture the frustration and no hope. A lot of fans do share that. Not as many probably who just don't give a damn. And, not as many maybe who are just numb. Does it help much with frustration? Sure. Does it give us much hope? I doubt it.

I say we give it to Kelly. Let him play the whole game. Even if he can’t throw, the chance on every play that he could take it the distance gives us a better offense than we’ve seen. Run it 90% of the time. Side benefit- it might reduce the amount of time our defense is on the field.

Watching the App State game Tuesday and this tidbit came on the ESPN screen:
Rk Player TD School 1 Taylor Lamb* 90 Appalachian State 2 Grayson McCall* 86 Coastal Carolina 3 Layne Hatcher* 84 Texas State 4 Justice Hansen* 83 Arkansas State 5 Kolton Browning 81 Louisiana-Monroe 5 Corey Robinson* 81 Troy 7 Rusty Smith 76 Florida Atlantic 8 Levi Lewis* 74 Louisiana 9 Brandon Silvers* 71 Troy 10 Tyler Rogers* 69
Something got misaligned in the transfer portal during the beaming down process.....

Unfortunately for Hatcher, he beamed down into the alternate universe where Spock has a goatee.

I think we should all look at this as an audition for Kelly and a chance for him to get some legitimate film. If this staff remains the same Semonza is the guy next year

Kelly is putting tape out there for his next school because I am convinced Neu will go right back to Semonza next year. IMO A LOT depends on if Neu is retained. If he is I think Kelly will have no choice but to bounce. If Neu is retained Semonza will be the qb. I’d be stunned if he’s not

To retain Neu is akin to not lancing a huge boil on your arse

To retain Neu is akin to not lancing a huge boil on your arse Maybe so, but we're still talking about a 1.3 million dollar boil.
