Coleman 0-4 in limited court time vs Creighton. Averaging 15% from 3fg Didn't we pick up Middleton with Boogie's scholarship? If so, Boogie did us a favor as I think Middleton has great potential!

Coleman came to them to late to play in the summer & they played as a team 2 weeks in Europe. His odds of playing meaningful minutes is pretty low unless a guard gets hurt. If he wanted to get paid let's hope Nebraska pays better than Europe if not he wasted the year.

If he wanted to get paid let's hope Nebraska pays better than Europe if not he wasted the year. He gets decent money, more than BSU, doesn't need to go overseas and be away from his family. He's probably OK with the deal. His future is in Europe.

Johnson with 19 points, Sellers with 16, lead UCF past Lipscomb 72-57 — Darius Johnson scored 19 points, Jaylin Sellers added 16, and UCF rode a 16-point halftime lead to a 72-57 victory over Lipscomb on Saturday.
I watched the Lipscomb v. UCF game Saturday after the BSU game. All three of my kids are graduates of Lipscomb and my oldest and I watch a lot of their games. LU is well-coached and a fun team to watch. Although they lost by 15 it was still a contest for most of the game. Sellers was guarding one of LU’s best players and he, Jonhson , still put up 19 against Sellers 16. I thought Johnson got the better of Sellers by a slim margin. What surprised me though is that one of the announcers, which btw was man crushing the whole game on Sellers, said the Sellers was the leading scoring guard in the B12?? I was kind of shocked to hear that. Sellers did look bigger and stronger though and was still a force for UCF.

Sparks looks bigger. Still don’t think we have the right Strength coach for mens ball. Not sure if Lewis can do anything to change that …..

Well the Big Ten season has begun and Sparks got 9 minutes in a three point win over Michigan. 6 points and 1 rebound. The other two bench forwards Walker and Banks got 14 minutes and 13 minutes respectively and finished with 8 points and 6 points. I think Woodson loves his work ethic and attitude and that's why he gets some PT but that is a hugely crowded frontline room.

I think he looks slower because he’s playing against better, quicker athletes now. It's also the different style of play in the B10. Not many big men who just stay in the post and he has to chase them outside, even switch, a lot more. On offense he is not the center of the universe and has to move. His foot speed or lack of is much easier to notice.

It also appears Sparks get's most, if not all, his minutes in the 1st half of games. Totally riding the pines when it gets to crunch time in the second half. He's pretty much IU's version of Zane Doughty for BSU. Only Doughty is a freshmen who has plenty time to develop and Sparks has what's left of this season and next. I think all of IU's front court players potentially could come back next season and they will probably add at least one blue chip front court player in next year's recruiting class. Sparks' 8 to 9 minutes per game this year could be his high point.

I wonder with Sparks if he regrets it at all. I mean he’s getting paid and he gets to experience the big 10 atmosphere, but if he loves basketball he’s basically ended his days playing meaningful minutes for a team.

He's at a higher level, will probably be a better player as a result. The level of play in practice is higher and that is his individual competition. His team is playing for higher stakes. His minutes aren't just garbage time. He will play pro if he wants, his life in BB is hardly over.

Everyone is free to post what they want. This isn't Russia. Wait...is this Russia? No, this isn't Russia.
But Jeez, how many times do we have to recycle the same post on the decision by Sparks?
