There's been a lot of discussion about the logo on the arena floor. The floor will likely be refinished this summer, maybe new lower seating, so they're trying to decide which logo to paint at center court.
While I don't mind dancin' Charlie on some t-shirts and sweatshirts, it doesn't exactly look intimidating.

Retire the Robo Logo! Let’s admit that Robo isn’t exactly intimidating many opponents anyway.
Coaches and players seem to like Dancin’ Charlie. Let’s Go!
I noticed Louisville football has incorporated a “Heisman Charlie” this year. Strangely similar to DC.

I like both and think we should use both. For basketball we should incorporate dribbling charlie.

Just retire robo at this point Agreed. The dancing Charlie represents an upbeat, confident, happy, historic representation of Ball State, full of swagger. Robo is basically the opposite of these things. Heck, our live mascot is dancing Charlie. Let’s retire the robo with dignity and move into a space we need to operate in. |

A cheap but highly effective thing to do at Worthen is to (via lighting) darken the seating area and spot the floor. With a big old dancing Charlie as the logo. Swagger.

I would be good with Vomiting Charlie, Meth Charlie, Decomposing Roadkill Charlie, or Botched Plastic Surgery Charlie if we could just contend for a MAC basketball championship again.

The "Chirp" was adopted around 2004 I think. In the 20 years before that we had won the MAC something like 6 times? In the 20 years since we've won it 0?
Time to "Choke the Chirp."
