Eight seasons...One strange year with some success...did we build on that one season...NO...What makes you think next year will be different...It will be another season of below mediocre football...It has been long enough...find the money fire them all or let's drop down to Division II

The same song and dance was sung and performed by those who kept giving James Whitford "another year." Time to move on from Neu/Lynch.

We had another three this year. Same ole story I tend to mostly agree with this. I just think Neu "can be / is" a good MAC coach. I just think he needs to shake up his staff a little (get rid of the obvious failure). If he can't see that, then he does need to go, and sooner rather than later.

Stockton is THE REASON we were able to compete in the final six games. The BSU offense was the reason we lost three games where we should have won! Stockton is not charge of the offense. If Neu does not make changes in offensive coaches, he must go. KEEP STOCKTON!

Stockton is ready to be a head coach and should be on the short list of a lot of programs...he's paid his dues and had a lot of success at each position he's coached...4X Broyles nominee and his players love him...smart guy who has an MBA in corporate finance from Notre Dame...we may want to keep him but the truth is he should go be a head coach and build his own program.

The more likely next step is moving to be the DC of a power 5 school. If he has success at that level he will get head coaching offers. I don't think he would get a head coaching job now unless it is at a lower level.

Im not going to go back and re read every thread but it seems like most of us would be OK given the financial circumstances if Mike stayed and we made the should be easy switch of OC. If that happens we want both gone Lynch and elliot. Elliots track record is not better than lynches

The question was asked in the press conference if Kelly would continue as QB and Mike gave nothing but positive praise about his running and production. He indicated that by hard work feet in right position etc. he would improve as a passer and become a more complete player. I took this as a fact that Mike almost said that Kelly was his guy. He didn't really say it but really leaned that way. There will be competition for QB next year and if Kelly does not improve enough as a passer then Semonza will take over. If Mike does want Semonza then he will find a way to say Kelly just didn't improve enough but will find a place for him on the starting 11

I'm not sure we'll have Stockton back next year so that's going to be a concern. If Stockton moves on, what confidence do we have that Mike will hire another good one? I mean, he could mine Western Illinois again.... If Mike agrees he needs a new OC (very very slim chance of him seeing that on his own) and we lose Stockton too, what confidence do we have that Mike could hire TWO new effective coordinators? Especially on a limited budget for assistants. (or how bout Mike give back 100K a year and split that to add 50K to the coordinator salaries)

While Mike is happy with what Kelly salvaged of the season (he got 3 MAC wins) he has never 100% committed to Kelly, and he's not going to say anything other than praise in a presser anyway. Mike does not go negative about players. Unless Kelly becomes a stellar drop back pro style passer between now and Spring ball, he's not going to be the starter next year. RPO is not how Neu/Lynch want to or really know how to play. They want pro style, hand the ball off on first and second down and have a QB who can consistently complete 6 yard passes on 3rd and 8 and hit on the occasional go route.

Well I was just going on what he said. I agree with you. What ever happened to the 6-5 Blazek pro style QB. Thought he was touted as being really good.

He's not even come close. Would love to know why he hasn't developed either. Are we not identifying QB's who can actually play? Or are we just not developing them to the point they can get on the field and succeed?

Paddock was a good QB with a really poor offensive line. He has had time to throw at Ill. and really accurate. Working to develop him into a world class QB would and was a waste because of the O line and yes shitty scheme due to OC
