After the NCAA denied the United Athletic Conference FBS status, there will be several schools looking for a home as they move up.

This is being done to open up MAC for expansion... Are you ready for Western Kentucky then some combo of MTSU Umass and or Uconn again I think should pursue Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee State. Both have a solid history in their Dic 1A conference. Both have MAC level facilities. Good football, good basketball, good fit.

We did a few years ago. They said no. Had to do with money they would lose from the exit of several teams from their conference and Middle Tennessee need the money. Western wanted in the MAC, if not for the money MTSU would have jumped ship as well. Make it happen!

Did the CBSSports sublease expire this year without a renewal? My understanding is the current ESPN deal runs through 2026, if so, then assuming any expansion includes an FCS team(s) then the the transition should start soon. Delaware is the latest to move up (and first to pay the new $5 million fee) and will start Conference USA play in 2025. One would assume that if MAC expansion includes FCS, it'll happen within the next yaer or so that everyone will know what they are negotiating for.
