We don't have the players to play with Akron, Kent, & Toledo. Ohio & BG are questionable as I have not seen them play. The other six we should be able to beat. This team lacks depth & we may run into the same problem we had last year at the end of the season a worn out team. If we finish with a winning overall record & 500 in the MAC that is as much as I think we get.

We are middle of the pack and we have no quality depth which means we will be on weak legs and some injuries by EOY. You can't play 7 guys 90% of the time and expect to have much left in the tank. I said our floor was 12 and ceiling was 16 wins. I'll stick with that for now.

Both Brown & Bell are very athletic. Haven't seen enough from Brown to know his basketball IQ or if he can play under control. Bell's IQ is pretty poor. Lewis' postgame talked about players not listening or following the scouting report. Went on to say something to the effect that Sullinger was left-handed last season, was left-handed tonight and he'll will be left-handed when we play them later this year. Yet, we had guys taking away his right hand and giving him his left. That was Bell in the 1st half as Sullinger blew by him going to his left for a driving lay-up. Lewis was livid & yanked him immediately. Bell has also pushed the ball when we didn't have numbers or a lane to the basket. I'd like to see a little more patience with Middleton as I think he has the most potential of our frosh. But, similar to last year's squad, there really isn't enough reliable depth.

Bell is super athletic but apparently low on the comprehension scale. Brown has potential and also athletic but he also is systematically deficient. It helps to be smart and pay attention besides just being able to hoop.

Being a freshman I expected Brown to need time.
Bell has had a year. If he isn't close to being ready it's more a problem.
We need him but it doesn't look good so far that he'll fit.
This is where Watt would really help, solid, not causing Lewis to look for hair to tear out.
