Jones is playing 30+ minutes, doing well. He's set up with a great chance next year. Why move? This is not a Jones discussion it's the overall concept. Why did you insert Jones? prestorp mentioned a few players including Jones and I responded to that post, mills suggested resume isn't really important when I said Jones might not be a hot prospect for transfer until after building his resume next year.
I don't disagree that ANY player CAN leave, but I think it's the players with NIL market we lose, and many others will want to stay. For that reason we need to both find new portal players ready to fit in and improve and keep signing some high school players to develop and get a couple of years if they do develop rapidly and maybe useful time for a longer period.
As much as this looks like AAU BB with all star pickup teams, coaches (like the Indiana State coach) can still use players that are willing to fit in and be team players and learn in a system. Many players will have their greatest success finding a spot like that and helping create a good team.
Jones seems to me to be that kind of player, although he may have upside and a market to transfer.

Jihad is the most likely to jump but to a higher league he may risk not playing. I can see him playing elsewhere in the MAC next year. Toledo? or if he wants to be a big scorer at EMU. Additional losses are probably kids upset with Lewis's coaching who feel their stars.
