Has the team thrown in the towel? We will soon find out. CMU is beatable. That being said unless we hit 50%+ on 3s I don't see a win. Also will need less turnovers than the Chips.

In our last three losses we've scored 60, 59 and 56. That's not good enough.
95% of our scoring is coming from 4 guys, Jihad, Anderson, Pearson and Bailey. My strategy would be simple as an opposing coach. Stop one of those four and you win because our bench has proven they can't contribute. Hendricks and Middleton need to score 10 between them.
A telling stat I had not really paid attention to is our margin of defeat. The two exceptions are Kent and the second Miami loss which were both ugly. Our 7 other conference losses have been by 6, 4, 5, 7 (OT), 9, 5 (OT) and 2. That's seven losses in the league by an average of 5.5 points. I hate to play the "what if" game but imagine if we had one more competent guard and forward who could give us 6 points a piece.
Anyway, I think we're tired but also tired of losing. CMU is 9-2 at home but they've won a bunch of close games including 3 in OT so they're not blowing people out and they got creamed in their last game at Miami by 28 and drilled at Akron by 21 the first week of February.
So, I've probably lost my marbles but I say Chuck the Fips and Cards by 7.

We start well but quickly go into a 4:30 Ball State swoon where we don’t score.

We have no mojo. Even wide open threes are off.

Funny comment from the sideline reporter.
"There really are no bad teams in the MAC."
The opposite is true.

Some how, some way, the red and white are up by at the half. Cards up by seven. Bailey was on a bit of a run hitting threes to keep the Card competitive. Hope the Cards can continue to hit shots and force some TOs.
Go Cards!

I thought it was a decent first half for the Cards. Pearson & Bailey have picked up the scoring slack. Saw some hustle to 50-50 balls. Jihad needs to quit trying to draw a foul every time he touches the ball. We’ll see if the energy continues in the 2nd half.
Go Cards!!

We're just fortunate their best player Anthony Pritchard is out. He roasted us last time we played them.

Cards played good defense & did a great job keeping turnovers down. Hit our free throws & the 6 3s are nice too.

I fear we will have our usual 2nd half woes. I'm grateful for the first half, but I've thought CMU has overachieved all year too.
