An out-of-the-box idea: we use this current notoriety to kick off a new concept of BSU basketball. Sort of a reverse-image of the Harlem Globetrotters. The Globetrotters delight fans with their amazing skill and always win. BSU could delight fans with their comical ineptness and always lose. And some have posted here that the main attraction of going to games these days is to watch Lewis in a constant state of irate frenzy. That fits in well with my concept. Lewis could tickle the fans with repeated temper explosions over the team's continual f--k ups, possibly combined with some pratfalls using water bottles, bench chairs, the scorers table, etc. as props.
Just a thought.

I do not understand the defensive strategy on the in bounds??
Can someone explain why we would not put someone on the ball like Hendricks?!

The MAC website says the Kent clinched a tourney spot, but does not say the same about BG and WMU. Has anyone seen any sort of official word that we are eliminated? Or does anyone have a surer grasp of the tiebreakers than I do?

Kentucky didn't guard in bounds and got sunk by Christian Laetner on a long pass by Grant Hill. '92? You can't do everything, just want a very low percentage shot, hopefully guarded. You hate to see a guy break free so maybe you want a deep safety. If they go Hail Mary then you're 5 on 4. That long pass gives you good odds to challenge it. A 75 foot bounce pass through 3 players to a guy in stride, nah, never happen...a wild tip in, nah... More time on the clock, I wonder what's best. Big difference 5 seconds, 2 seconds. |

Ignoring for now the last play, the turning point of the game was probably the 3 quick fouls Jihad picked up starting the second half. He began the second half with only 1, but then rocketed to 4 on some overly aggressive defensive plays. He spent the next 10 minutes or so on the bench. Those 3 fouls and a lack of any frontcourt bench players to replace him, cost us the game.

His 5th foul early in OT was completely bogus. |

I fear that our 14-seed that this guy predicted for us is in some jeopardy. Somehow I don't think Indiana or Ohio State are making it either. But, he did pick Indiana State. |
