Ill update main list but damn MAC getting gutted Thus far we've kept our core players outside of Middleton. Recognize it is only day 3. Assuming Jones Brown is done, we have two open scholarships to hit the portal. Would love to see us pick up a solid post player and another athletic 2/3 wing.

We need ti figure out brown and watts Aren't Brittain-Watts and Bailey best buds from high school and AAU days? I'm thinking they are most likely tied together. If Bailey bolts, Brittain-Watts will hit the road too.

We need ti figure out brown and watts Watts as a 6th year senior PG would be valuable, at the least as a reserve in the rotation, assuming he's healthy. Brown was/is a project and apparently had some non BB issues. Do we know Zagorsak is gone or another question mark? Bell, Adams, Middleton gone give us 3 scholarships with one freshman, one JUCO committed.

We might know about Zags he might just return home and not enter portal.. I would have guessed brown for sure.. Reported Grade Issues missed games on 2 seperate instances. If he stays Lewis must really see something.

Pearson is a little unappreciated by us. Not only did he have some really good games, in a few kept us in the game when others were not playing well. As much as anybody he stepped up and hit key buckets.
He needs to improve his ability to score on his own to be a MAC standout.
Bailey seemed very positive in those press conferences near the end of the season. Was a better shooter than I expected, and as the season went on played better D. He can be a very good 3 and D player for us.

Bailey took a bunch of threes and led MAC in % cant argue that... Mickey would be a better bench guy than starter but what else do we have

If he stays Lewis must really see something. Which goes back to my wondering if a player has to be in good academic standing to be in the portal. (Can't imagine that's even cared about anymore. We ain't come here to play school) I really think Brown needs to go the juco route and get himself squared away. He's very talented but very raw.

I guess we expected a lot of talk here in off season. So much up in the air.
With Bailey and Pearson and Anderson we have a good core if we can retain Jihad or find a star to go with them. Anderson was more or less what we expected but everybody has mentioned he's better if he doesn't have to be the primary ball handler.
I can't be really excited at this point, too much is still up in the air. But also I can't see we're in quite the desperate situation some think we are.
I also just don't know exactly what we need. We have some proven depth with Jones as a swiss army knife reserve and Hendriks. We can add to that if we see Doughty, Watts, the two kids already recruited, or a portal addition or two able to play.
That would solve the biggest problems we had this year, losing a too many games late when we just didn't have gas in the tank.
The need, and biggest unknown, is to retain Jihad and/or find another primary scoring threat. I don't see that go to guy in anybody else. Failing to get that star, there is only so much you can make up for with ball movement, distributed scoring, but to even do that we probably need an outstanding PG added to the mix.
Do both things and then we can be optimistic.
