More likely MAC coach in play for Utah St HC job is BG's Todd Simon. Remember he came from a job at Southern Utah & did a good job at BG this season. According to posts on the MAC and Toledo boards it looks like both UT HC Tod Kowalczyk and BGSU HC Todd Simon are committed to staying put.

David Coit is leaving NIU. Big loss for them. MAC talent drain has been huge-- will it be adequately replaced?

NIU has probably lost more players in the past 5 years than any MAC school with the Cardinals probably #2 in the portal. they definitely have lost the most players to other conference schools.

1220 and counting total for 2024 Since there are 362 Division I teams with 13 scholarships per, that would be 4,706 basketball players. Assuming approximately 25% used their last year of eligibility in the 2023-24 season, what would reduce the 4,706 to 3,530. 1,220 would represent 35% of every basketball player who could is in the transfer portal and there's sill about 30 days to go.

Quincy Adams ended up at Western New Mexico. That's interesting, D2 school, we never knew what level he was...

Robert Morris not necessarily a step up from BSU, but closer to home and maybe some NIL in play.
