The 3-time national champion and defending MIVA tournament champion Ohio State Buckeyes will be in Worthen Arena Thursday night at 7:00 to do battle with our league leading Ball State Cardinals. Ohio State defeated defending national champion UCLA earlier in the season and were ranked #1 in the country after starting the season 6-0. Just a week ago BSU upset the 8th ranked Buckeyes 3-1 in Columbus which vaulted BSU into 1st place. Mr T and company will have to be at their best Thursday to upset the Buckeyes again. Ohio State returns 6 starters from their NCAA team a year ago including MIVA Player of the Year and 1st team All-American Jacob Pastuer. It has the makings of another great rivalry match!

Be an interesting match. OSU wants to stop the bleeding and BSU wants to get closer to locking in #1 seed. We will get their best shot tonight. Better be ready for a fight.

An ugly night. Hard to imagine beating them later. Still 5 matches left before then.

Yep a tough night against OSU. We're still in 1st place in the conference, a game up on Loyola and 2 games up on Ohio State. Go Cards, win out in the MIVA!!!!

Rodgers sprained his ankle badly against Ohio State. He will likely miss at least 2 weeks. He landed on the foot of an OSU player after attacking a tight set. Ryan Bartz and Trevor Phillips both played well filling in for Rodgers against Purdue Ft Wayne last night. Huge matches this week af Lewis.

He will not be 100% most likely by the tournament.

Will need a sweep this week at Lewis to keep us in great shape. Still have a tough match with McKendree. Without Rogers, securing top seed in the tourney is definitely not a lock. I know we have the tie breaker with Loyola, not sure about OSU.

No ESPN+ for the Lewis matchups?? Free access via the Lewis TV partner last night and again tomorrow night. Link available on Ball State Sports. All you have to do is create a free account. By the way - the announcer for the match last night did a great job describing the action - including the nuances of the game.
