We should just cut sparks. Worse than useless he’s an actual negative when on the floor. Outran and gave up a layup, pushed out by a smaller guy under the basket, then gives up a wide open layup.

Sparks looks like…not a basketball player? Can’t move, can’t keep up, can’t handle the ball. What happened to him? Ruined by Woodson? Didn't he always have a tendency to lose the ball? |

Hopefully whatever Coach Lewis said at halftime resonated and sticks in our mind moving forward. Maybe we won’t come out so slow and cold from the field to start the next game.
Agree on Sparks?!?! Who is #5 on our team and what did he do with the player formerly known as Payton Sparks!! Is cramping still an issue or does he have some muscle strain issue going on? Or did he just completely forget how to play like Chuck Knoblauch forgot how to throw to 1st base? Unreal to see this concerning decline in his expected production.

Not sure how to feel about that game. The first 11 minutes was a disaster. After that however, not bad.

I also have a feeling this won’t be the last time Hill has a Sportscenter top 10 dunk this year. Mickey needs to stop forcing things to the basket. Britain-Watts looking like I hoped.

We showed some determination in the second half; we could have easily folded and lost by 30!
I believe just maybe we win the next two at home.

I want to know what the hell happened with Sparks? When he got minutes last year, he looked a hell of a lot better than this. He either did nothing this summer or he has some kind of health or physical issue. He does not deserve to be on floor the way he looks today. Anybody have any inside information? Something is not right with him!

There were some things to provide hope there in the second half, but really ... WTF did we do in the preseason? How could a team that's worked on any semblance of offense or defense look as bad as we did for the first 12 minutes. That cannot happen against anybody. Total embarrassment.

Thought we were in a different mindset in the second half. Hill and Watts were impressive in a horrible offensive set most of the night. Hendricks should be starting IMO over Sparks---who still looks gassed in one down and back. Our offense needs a lot of help. Drives me insane to see weakside guys just standing around rather than cutting and screening. Thought Jones and the ex-Kentucky kid looked lost. Pearson and Hernandez need to block out and board more. Mickey still looks spastic at times. Despite those issues, I was impressed with our grit in that second half.
