I think we will end up right around 150 next season. That is a little pessimistic, even with some weaknesses, we can easily have a little better team. So, we should improve somewhere around 125. SOS will be better. I can see being pessimistic about our making anything like as big a jump as we did this last year. But, if everything fell into place, we might. If we suffer no big setbacks in the injury department, we should be better. Even with the biggest weaknesses we worry about. I think replacing Calhoun is going to be more difficult than people think. He was far and away the best rebounder and really the most consistent player on the team.

I agree, he was able to use his strength and defend bigger players. We are lacking that strength factor big time. You can play short and defend the post with position, and he did well at that. Frank is also strong. But it is our biggest weakness right now.

I believe we will play a tougher schedule...could not be much weaker, right? And, I think 23 wins is the minimum with the outside of 26 wins!!
And, in the top 100 for sure with a forecast of #75.

I think a lot of posters thought he was sort of a waste through his first couple of years. He developed very nicely under the new staff.

Filling that void left by Bo is certainly a huge concern.
I've tended to hope that we can compensate for that loss by being better at PG and with improved play from Moses and Franko, but even if everyone ups their game you still need someone to eat minutes and I'm not sure who that'll be.
As much as people talk about Sellers playing at guard, I think of him as being as much that SF as anyone, but I assume the coaching staff has Weber slotted in there, along with the wild cards that are Teague, Mallers and Hollywood.
Realistically, we should have the scoring. It's the rebounding and other dirty work that I worry about. I'm not sure that's Weber and who knows if the newcomers fit in there.

What concerns me is the depth at center when we pile up some fouls. We need one more bigger body in my opinion. Doesn't have to be a wold beater, just someone who can provide some relief.

I am glad to see someone chimed in with a 201+ vote for the poll. I was beginning to think this place had turned into a bunch of optimists.

201 is a little harsh. I am sceptical but believe will be in that 125 range. We will have to win over 26 and win at least 13 Mac games to be under the 100 threshold. Could happen when Tyler, Kiapway and Sellers are seniors.

120 sounds about right to me. I think we can be a little better than Toledo was last season, which was 127 but I don't see us at the level of last year's Akron team. I'd say high end 105, low end/worst case scenario where we were last year at 150. We exceeded my expectation last year by about 15 rankings, I was thinking we'd be in the 165 range at the end of the year.
Good poll question, as I admit I have a soft spot for new age sabrmetrics.
