I agree with Calhoun & feel tomorrow may be last game of season you see us favored. I continue to hope to see this team break loose offensively & hope it is tomorrow.
Season projection is 3 or 4 wins assuming we can manage to win a low probability game or two where we are underdogs. We lose this one, we will be projected to win 2 games and that prospect will slip every week...

Interesting that we are seen more likely to win 6 games than 1.

Interesting that we are seen more likely to win 6 games than 1. It is unlikely we lose them all.

Like I said all along we will three four tops... Nothing has really changed need to be in all the rest OR have perhaps 4 very good showings. Goal improve Sagarin rating. Maybe we can end up better (barely) than 4 or 5 MAC teams. Playing well, being in these games coming up might allow us to improve that rating. Granted this is also proof of how weak the MAC is compared to other FBS conferences...but it would be a measure of improvement.

Maybe 20 conferences classified A by Sagarin. MAC is barely better than maybe 3 or 4.
Probably better than all AA conferences, but OTOH as a team we are outranked by 20-25 AA teams and outrank only maybe 20 A teams

Its all about the Mac we will not win many games just is not going to happen. What can not happen is losing them in a horrible fashion if we are in the games with a shot thats alot better than last year and Neu probably keeps his job. Here is a deeper question winning in the MAC is about QB play. Riley is going to set some BSU records and 20 years from now people will look at stats and think Damn that guy was good.. It seems like most of stats are wothless filler when was the last time we said Wow... Was it Northwestern his freshman year? Say we suck all year do we use the new red shirt year and throw Paddock out there and see what happens. Some quarterbacks have stats but do not have "it" is Riley one of these guys. Sadly, you are right about our QB situation. As for Neu, this program is going nowhere. We are undisciplined, and special teams are atrocious. As if those two things weren't enough, we are unable to recruit talent or depth at offensive line. Cut bait after this 3-win season.

If Ball State loses the last 4 games of theseason, count me out on endorsing a 4th yr for Neu. They'll be a significant underdog in all 4 games.

As much as I hate it, I think I'd have to agree with that, too.

But I can’t see the university being willing to do anything.

I like Neu and want him to succeed but he and Whitford went to the same school that taught How to Begin Games Super Slow and Flat.
