That IS a positive note. Assume Riley is staying. Will miss his throwing mate though. Although I think we will have some pretty decent throwers next season.

I’m far, far away and get most of my football insights from (shaking my head) the folks on this board.
That being said, I think I was led to believe that Hall was a potential world-beater based on last year. Maybe I misread some posts.....anyway, what happened this year? Did the opposition key on him? Did we decide not to use him as much? Did Riley Miller’s talent overshadow him this year? Did he just have a down sophomore year compared to last year?

He certainly had his share of drops early on. It seems like he got better as the year went on. I’m sure the defenses were also focused more on him than they were a year ago.

O’Gara has an interesting article on how the players ranked according to Pro Football Focus this year. Although he didn’t get All-MAC honors, Ray Wilborn was rated as our best player. That was a solid pickup. Hopefully we can get an impact player like that on the O-Line this year.
1. Wilborn 2 Josh Miller 3. Jaylin Thomas 4. Antonio Phillips 5. Danny Pinter 5. Bryce Cosby 7. Christian Albright 8. Riley Miller 8. Drew Plitt 10. Riley Neal

Interesting that Plitt graded higher as a passer than Neal despite throwing more INT and less TD. The main differences were Plitt was more accurate and had more yards per passing attempt. (most of us could see that part with our own eyes. Plitt is more willing to push the ball down field) Yes, Riley mostly faced better defenses, but it's also worth noting the majority of his TD passes were in two games, CCSU, and Kent, two bad teams. We were just more conservative with Riley, and he struggled against the better defenses. But Plitt is a turnover machine and he can't do that next year or he won't play.

Somehow Miller graded out high even though he sure looked like he was always being beat and missing tackles. Who knows.
Wilborn has a chance to be a beast next year. Hopefully he reaches that level. Too often he was invisible this year. But then other times he was the best player on the D. Inconsistent, just like the rest of the gang.
Jacob White didn't grade out well among the linebackers....

back to strength and conditioning if cosby was 15 pounds heavier he would be a beast. He is the same size as he was when he walked on campus. People just slap him down

Yeah a lot of these guys don’t appear to be physically maturing. Still slight and undersized.
