UJ with the grenade!
Neu won’t make it past next year, and then we start over. Again. And there won’t be money to pay an impact coach.

I know Neu has yet to show us anything, but honestly he is recruiting well enough and played/graduated from ball state. You won’t find a better coach in terms of passion for the program and community. I really hope they go at least 6-6 next year so he can continue to be the coach.

We've gone 12-0 and made it to a MAC Championship game in football since we made a serious run at a MAC Championship in basketball. Scheumann Stadium's improvements have been financed by millions in donations from alumni who want to play D1 FBS Football. Are we getting any donor action on behalf of the basketball team? Our average basketball attendance is an embarrassment and we are well on our way to another non-NCAA Tournament bid. Lets close down the basketball program and devote that money to football. My name is on the plaque on the stadium as a donor to the expansion. I say the Mo Valley makes sense/cents. I would rather the entire MAC consider a move down. I don’t see the Group of Five making any move or the Power Five forcing the issue. The Group fo Five get dog bones thrown at them and it seems to make them happy to say we fight with the big dogs. However, the Big Dogs will never give the Group fo Five a chance at the play-off, NEVER.

I'm for trying to emulate Butler... Butler is FCS.

The fact is that none of the programs have much chance of paying for consistent good performance.
We need the entire MAC to see the reality and for the inevitable realignment by the P5 to proceed and then see what we can afford then. Holding on until then in FBS is an expensive option, one it appears we are taking.

Point To Ponder:
If Ball State AD randomly selected a fan forum member (let’s say ....uh, rmcalhoun) would that person be worse than 10-26 after 3 years coaching the football team? 🤔
remember, we play FCS teams in pre-conference.

Ive often thought this while my coaching background is limited to third grade Metro my internet recruiting skills are second to none. Seriously though I think if you took Tom from Kokomo and let him hire real "football" assistants he could get a few wins.

We always say 12-0 but it was 12-2. With the two that really mattered being in the wrong column.
And it was 10 years ago.
