To think just a few weeks ago we had rolled Toledo at Toledo and we were on a roll. Tony Packo puts a steamed dog on a “Toledo Roll”. Just ask Calhoun. Speaking of that, we haven’t really done much since Calhoun stopped doing road trips 🤔. I still think this funk is tied to RMC somehow.

Archie has found a way to stop a McDonald’s all American. Problem is that player, Romero Langford, is his player. Whit tends to do the same to his guys. Isn’t able to put them in the best situations to maximize talents. Another knock on Archie that sounds familiar? His team too often is lethargic and sleepwalks and has poor fundamentals. They come from the same coaching trees. Kiapway is the prime example in my mind of a player developed by Whit. Spent his senior year totally unproductive and apparently didn't even care about it. “Developed”. We’ve had several seniors during Whits time that seem to just want to get it over with.

Trey is a tremendous kid and an asset. I have been a strong supporter of him and this team but he plays a bit soft at times. That’s not meant to be a knock on him as a person. Reminds me a bit of another center we had who’s now playing pretty darn well in Europe. I wish Trey nothing but the best and a fast recovery. I could care less about you calling him out about his toughness. What bothers me as a parent is that you would do so when he went down with an injury. Does that show your toughness or lack of sympathy??

My son is injured and you guys challenge his toughness. Why not do this, I'll meet you for lunch or dinner and we can discuss his toughness over a nice hot meal. You have correctly intuited that, in an actual real life, face-to-face meeting, people from this board would act, speak and think much differently than they do here. Not because of hypocrisy, but because this board is a place of venting, joking, hyperbole and half-informed speculation, and people use it for these things as a pastime. Its not that his toughness is questioned, its the statement when he goes down with an undetermined injury. No well wishes or anything like that happened. Just statements about his toughness. As far as meeting over a hot meal, im the same guy online and in public.

Trey is a great young man. He has a heart of gold and has overcome some challenges to achieve what he has at Ball State. I hope his injury is minor and he recovers quickly. We certainly will need him if we are to have any chance of salvaging the season.
As a father, I understand wanting to defend your son but calling out people on an internet message board is a misguided exercise, in my opinion. I’ve never seen anyone on here question his character or the quality of person he is. To the contrary most if not all comments about who he is and his heart for children with developmental challenges are nothing but praise. Trey has had a nice career at Ball State and you should be proud and enjoy that. Everyone here wants the best for him and for many of us, yes we wish he was more aggressive and played with more grit inside but that doesn’t change how we feel about him personally or detract from his off the court pursuits. Again I wish him a speedy return.

and I honestly don’t think any comment about his toughness had anything to do with the injury. We all hope it’s nothing serious and he’s back out there soon.

It's not toughness that Trey lacks. It's viciousness.

I offered to meet over a hot meal and have a discussion. If you look at the overall posts of this board, there are many posts that call out players. It's very easy to hide behind a screen name than to have a discussion in person.

I’ve said I’m a real fan of Trey as a quality person and a good basketball player. His toughness has been questioned by many and if I were to say it again I might describe him as a finesse big!
My comments Had zero to do with his injury.
Hope he returns soon! Have no chance at a run without him.
Regards

There is 5 weeks left in the season. Do what you want but you’re not doing your son any favors. My advice is root for your son and the team and leave the message board if you don’t want to see anything negative because veiled threats are not going to change anything.

Now I’m creepy and somewhat threatening. Lololol. There have been post on this board of the sexual nature but I’m creepy. Nice!!
