and I honestly don’t think any comment about his toughness had anything to do with the injury. We all hope it’s nothing serious and he’s back out there soon. true, but why kick a player when he is down?? I see how it looks that way. I think the toughness talk has gone too far even without that interpretation. To me Trey (and others on this team) show a lot of toughness just to hang in there and play given some challenges everyone on the team has faced.
When it is repeated too often it is just too personal and has to be painful to see from someone close to him.

Good Lord, there aren't words to adequately describe the stupidity of your post.............................

Let’s move on.
The bottom line is that we need and expect a physical and more aggressive big man and we don’t have one. That’s been a consistent theme for several years.
If posters don’t want to talk about or read about those opinions, there are several other categories to choose from.

Seems they get outmuscled and outhustled to balls too often. Pretty much the entire team looks kinda frail or in the very least, too skinny.

Anybody remember the discussion about our strength and conditioning program and how it was high on the AD's priority list to improve?

Whit doesn’t see it that way but other coaches do.

It reminds of the opinion my dad & grandfather had about the North Central Conference that Lafayette Jeff & Richmond would never win because they always had a bunch of FB players playing on the basketball teams. So no muscles are good ha.

Both schools were always very tough outs for my Bearcats. They always had some really good basketball players. Especially Richmond.
We don’t need body builders but we do need some guys who can be more physical/more explosive. And we still lack quickness. Can’t keep guys in front of us. And yes need more shooters/scorers.

I feel deeply sad to see what is clearly a self portrait of halftime contemplating an unhappy life that he copes with by huddling at his keyboard insulting others to feel powerful.
It is good that the forum can do some good, let's all join in supporting him. Everyone needs love, attention and approval.

Save your psycho-babble bullshit, and admit you made another, in a never ending series of banal observations where you salute your markedly low expectations.

What else is left? We need a coach who runs practices that are far more intense, organised and focused. I'll bet you anything Whitford has no problem with guys showing-up and just going through the motions.

We need a coach who runs practices that are far more intense, organised and focused. I'll bet you anything Whitford has no problem with guys showing-up and just going through the motions. You would lose that bet. Practice is very organized and focused. Players are responsible to give full effort. That covers "intense" in most cases.
Practice is intense and demanding enough physically, too. You apparently have never seen one. I guess I would say practice at this point in the season and with a short roster is a little less intended to be physically demanding though.
Coaches everywhere shorten practice, scrimmage less, do fewer drills in mid conference season unless they have to make major adjustments.
