Austin just got another lay up and McKay just got another rebound.

Another example of Whit being out coached. Davis made adjustments at halftime that we had no answer to. How many times have we seen this?

I fear we may be on the way to a losing record! The end of year collapse is starting early. SAD!

Another example of Whit being out coached. Davis made adjustments at halftime that we had no answer to. How many times have we seen this? Davis did what everyone will do. When a team can't shoot it isn't brain surgery. Pack in the defense. Front Trey more. Pressure the ball, help on the drive. Harass our playmakers, Trey inside, Persons, Ish, Josh outside. Giving Teague, Walton Trey the ball outside is no threat. Drop back. The playmakers kicking the ball to shooters is the response, and all we needed was to hit shots. Our D was good enough. How to win if we don't shoot better? Defense can pack in without any consequence. We'll turn the ball over when forced to drive into traffic.

Persons, Trey, Josh, Ish all can be pressured. Forced to shoot contested shots, helped against close in. Unless they have a shooter to kick out to. P&R doesn't work against jammed middle. Inside passing very hard. Huge difference if we hit even 33% on 3pfga. This team was never going to be an outside shooting team, but needed some threat to make drives work. This game a nightmare shooting performance. We could have covered the spread easily with our season average shooting. Central gambled second half we would not. Won the bet.

We’ve been losing a helluva lot of bets this year. I guess all our losses are just unlucky.

We’ve been losing a helluva lot of bets this year. I guess all our losses are just unlucky. No. But I would agree every win and every loss probably has some element that is random that contributes. Sometimes decisive, not always.
We were unlucky with injury. Several losses could be traced to that. Several losses were games where we would have had to be damned lucky to beat a flat out better team. Some a tossup at the end. We have not had a lot of good luck on any of coin flips.

Yep, we all know there is no way to counter an overly aggressive defense.

Im pretty sure more than a few of 353 D1 teams have had to play without multiple reserves. Regardless, BSU has to reverse this embarassing downward trend in the MAC tourney or else this year is a huge failure in year 6. A 1-6 mark for Whitford in the MAC tournament would be ugly.

Yes,yes, yes Gunn would have made all the difference yesterday, and can you imagine if Coleman hadn't been redshirted. We would have been wiping bodies off the floor.

But never poorly coached. You know if a fan wants to believe we lost that game primarily because of poor shooting ... I guess that's his choice. My fear is that fan is probably echoing the coaching staff's feelings, which is much, much scarier, and the reason we'll never win much of anything with this coach. You can't fix the problems if you don't recognize the problems.
