Im sitting here trying to decide what I think about several true freshman beating out everyone and getting on the 2 deep. Is it we recruited really well or is it the others on the roster were just not very good

I was surprised to see Brandon Martin ahead of Jaylin Thomas on the depth chart. I kinda was as well but we rotate so much we will see a lot of thomas. Martin is a better at fundamentals but Thomas is better at the spectacular play You guys pointed out the two most surprising starters, but I’d also add Antwan Davis as the 3rd WR. I expected Yo to be starting. Maybe Dunner needs a little more work at the position. I also thought one of the two big Fresh WR might crack the two deep. I wonder if we won’t end up playing 6 or 7 WR in the game.

Too, the way we rotate, skilled positions in particular, starting doesn't mean too much. I'm willing to bet we run in a new group on the second play of the game. Depends, to a large extent, what the play is going to be. That way the defensive folks, opposite our offense, will have an idea what play is coming and can be prepared.

IU plays Eastern Illinois week 2 and Ohio State week 3. I wonder if we’d have a better shot knocking them off if we played them week 2. More likely that they’d overlook us anyway. Being opening week and the fact we beat them at Lucas Oil last time we played them there in 2011, I fear that IU will be highly motivated in this one.

By halftime I'm in the hospital. Run, run, short pass, punt, repeat.

I think the best time for an upset is week 1 when teams don't quite know what to expect. I could be wrong though.

Hate to say it, but I'd take any of those scores as long as they weren't lopsided and one point and then closed up a little later.

I was reading through last year game summaries, and I forgot just how bad our run defense was last year. It almost has to get better by default, but over/under 250 rushing yards for IU? Over/Under 3 rushing TD’s?
More over under fun? Plitt TD’s or Plitt INT’s?
