Agreed 100% not sure why that is.. More film and other coordinators figuring out how to counter what we are doing then us being unable to counter back I guess That statement could also be made about the basketball team as well! I was writing a pretty good football post in my mind today and planned out putting it here tonight but the b ball game wore me out

this is not the post i was going to write but another random thought I just had.. Is it possible that the Defense focused so much on takeaways that that caused the fundamentals to be abandoned because we were always going for the strip, Int or gambling trying to force a turnover.. We knew we were not good so we gambled every chance we got

Good job Lurkin, cardfan, and Rob, you guys may have explained something a bit puzzling that we didn't discuss all year.

Not completely off base there. We had a lot of tackles broken because guys were going for strips rather than wrapping up. That's the overall trend in football. And it's hard to argue against it. One could argue the most important stat in football is turnovers.

It may be what happened but it's a ludicrous strategy. Sure turnovers are huge, and there's a time when you need to go for them, but I would have taken 0 turnovers if we would have tackled well.
You tackle well, you stop people on third down, fourth down, and that IS a turnover. That's what we needed to win a few of those close games.

Any private jets seen on the Delaware International tarmac ferrying in potential DC candidates?

It's a ludicrous approach if you're not teaching and preaching tackling above causing turnovers. Going for the ball should be opportunistic, not an every play strategy.
