Its only Teague's second season playing in real game situations! And, my point stands, and I disagree with Reality Check as well....Tyler will start over Kip although it may be a toss up, and Teague will score a lot of points! And, I don't agree that TEAGUE was wildly inconsistent...I do not have the stats in front of me but he was likely the #2 rebounder last season and as I pointed out may have been the best points producer for minutes played. Pretty steady for a Freshman. So, Halftime, don't tell me Moses is slowed with an injury 3 or 4 games in...we will compare Teague/Tyler scoring after a few games versus Moses/Persons...it could be very interesting and actually close. He was third in rebounding and averaged more points per game through the first ten games than the last ten games. He is what he is, he isn't suddenly going to be a dominate big man.

Teague WAS inconsistent. Period. If you weren't able to discernt that.....

Maybe our definition of inconsistent is a little less liberal. (Doesn’t mean he will never be consistent, just means based on last year he’s a bit of a wildcard)

Even are seniors had games where they disappeared.
Here are minutes/points/rebounds played by House, Moses, and Teague last year: obviously averages consider good games and bad.
Moses 27.2/9.2/8.3
House 26.2/13.4/6.4
Teague 11.2/7.3/5.8
Say, what you like, but strong stat line for only 11 minutes per game!
As I’ve said, I like my chances if Teague can stay on the floor 25 minutes per game!

He is what he is, he isn't suddenly going to be a dominate big man. That is true, but a different question than we're discussing. He could easily be a good scorer. I hope he's a great all around player, doesn't have to be dominant, but if he reaches full potential can be a star.

I hope he's a great all around player, doesn't have to be dominant, but if he reaches full potential can be a star. A lot of our players have star potential. Teague, Persons, Sellers, Kiapway, Tyler. If they all played to their full potential all the time we'd lay a lot of smackdowns like the one we laid on EMU two years ago. It's strange because although I like Moses a lot, I don't think he has as high a ceiling as the other guys, but I think he's the most important piece on the team. If he's hurt we're in deep trouble.

Yes Moses is what he is he will not learn any new tricks or suddenly be able to jump higher. He is the most important player on the team though because we simply do not have any that can do the things he does

We might have said same thing about Bo Calhoun. He improved and changed a lot last two seasons.

If he can do that with some consistency....

Trey should be fine, and Teague is going to be All Mac by his Junior season

I'd say if there's any player on this team who might make a significant jump in production, it would be Teague.
If he becomes really good, we could be really good.
I'd expect about what we've seen from Persons, Moses, Sellers and Tyler. Possibly Persons' role could change a little if they move him more to playing off the ball, while Walker and El-Amin play point, but frankly I think he probably needs the ball in his hands.
I think Tyler could be very important to this team, but I wouldn't be surprised if his value came more on the defensive end rather than as a scorer.
