Well with football season essentially over its time to think hoops; at least we will have a winning record!
I believe this season's Cardinals are the deepest we have seen any many years:
Here is the depth chart as I see it:
PG-Persons Walker El Amin
2- Tyler Kipaway 3- Sellers Gunn
4- Teague Mallers
5- Moses Huggins
Obviously, there are a few walk ons I did not list, and Redshirts, and a few guys listed may also play some other roles, for example, we may see Kipaway play some PG, and I could see Teague possibly at the 5 spot in a pinch. I believe this team may be able to go 10 deep.
Now, for the record, and not counting any exhibition, post season, or MAC tournament I am picking BSU with a record of 23-8!!!
GO CARDS!!

4- Teague Mallers
5- Moses Huggins
Yeah we have plenty of front court depth, just recruit some more guards. Over/Under on how many games Moses fouls out of this season.

I don't know El-Amin or Walker, but I will be disappointed if we keep seeing Kiapway at the point. It'll be squandering his talent to keep forcing him into the point.

I believe Huggins may be a pleasant surprise and Teague played very well against the MVP of the MAC in the semi's playing the 5 when Moses went down. He's thin yes but very athletic.

Isaiah Johnson had an offensive rating of 131 and shot 70% from the field that game. Moses played a total of 15 minutes and had 4 fouls when he left the game, Franko fouled out playing just over 30 minutes.

But whatever, in that game, Moses only played about 15 minutes, so it was not his best game for sure. And, OTOH, the big lug for Akron got only maybe 9 or 10 shots in almost 40 minutes, and wasn't the shot we regret which hurt us the most a fall away 18 foot jumper? House out rebounded the big dough boy Gozer, and Teague did play well. So, there is a moral to the story how we played Johnson, limited his ability to get the shots he wanted, defended the other team well more than just one guy. He was a horse and yet by attacking him at the other end of the court we managed to play pretty even with the biggest guy in the MAC, and the best team, without much depth.

How many did Johnson score vs Moses{more against Moses I think} and then later Teague who guarded him a lot of the game...also, how many did the Freshman get against Johnson...I think more than 20...a Freshman!!!!!
I do not accept that we are thin anywhere including Center or the 4 spot...Teague will be very good at the 4, and Mallers will play aggressive when he's in at the 4...and you are assuming Huggins will give us little? And, Teague may play the 5 some IF Huggins is not ready...
We are certainly at the 1-3 spots possibly the best in the MAC with a lot of depth!!
How many do you say this team will win Halftime??

I think 20 is realistic if all goes as planned.. If we get an Injury to anyone who might be considered a big it could go south in a hurry

My point is that the game is 5 on 5, and you can't just look at one end of the court. Gozer plays 40 minutes he ought to get more than his average. He was their best player. The stat that counts, Akron beat us, but we played well enough to win without a good game from Moses. That is pretty good news. Not many teams in the MAC will have as good a front court as Akron did.

Hey, Halftime, how many is this team with no depth going to win? We certainly can't say they are playing a weak schedule, right?

We are certainly at the 1-3 spots possibly the best in the MAC with a lot of depth!! Well yeah, if you have twelve guys to rotate at those three positions you have a lot of depth.
