If I'm understanding the timeline correctly, the woman resumed the relationship with Brown AFTER getting that email.
What do we make of that? I think it may demonstrate how much some women will put up with if you are famous and a multi-millionaire. Reminds me of the Bill Burr stand-up:

Oh it’s a given. And it was a given about a week ago that he’d end up there. Bastard. I keep hoping that one of these days the Patriots will fail at bringing in a head case and reforming him. Maybe this one will be the one! I’m thinking CCCards should have put some money down.

I'd completely forgotten about that post! Thanks for reminding me that the Patriots finally failed at something! Dakich suspended, and a reminder that Fuck the Patriots. Tis a good day

Since we're rehashing old posts...Sherm, does your perceived value for Q go up if he starts catching touchdown passes out of the backfield? Though I will admit, his first route was less than clean looking as he fell down in the endzone. Castanzo said earlier this week that there was no end to the amount of shit the O-line gave Q during and after the game for that route. LOL Personally, I think it's a stupid idea to take your best lineman and put him somewhere else, just for the sake of giving him the opportunity to score a touchdown. Because you also give the defense an opportunity to take free shots at his knees, cause let's face it, a LB or a DB faced with the task of seeing that man barreling toward him is going to go one way, and that's low. He blows a knee out on some gimmicky goal line play and what was it all for? Keep him on the front 5 and use a backup OL to run those plays, someone less important to the team.

I think the idea of the play is that the other team expects him to be used as a blocking back, play the run. If they bite he runs into the end zone where he might be wide open and a defender cannot hit him early without a pass interference call and first down.
I guess they can hit him as he catches the ball, but pass defenders unlikely to be going for ankles or knees to jar the ball loose.
Apparently the play worked in practice and in this case they didn't throw to him anyway. Not much risk that I see. Except falling down in over eager anticipation of the ball coming...
Sherman's position is he is easily replaced by a practice squad level player so he won't bite on this thread.

This tells me that the Colts have bowed down to my pressure and logic, and admitted that a quality receiver is much more valuable than an quality offensive guard. You'll see Nelson being played more and more at receiver until they eventually decide to cut their losses and get rid of him.

If an OG is the face of your team, you're probably going to top out at around, oh I don't know, like 7-9. If you expect to make th playoffs, you need quality at the more important, high value positions
It's a measure of the mental density of this board that members can't be made to understand that I'm not saying Nelson isn't good. They are unable to grasp that the point is that it doesn't matter that much that he's good. As evidenced by the losing record despite his super wonderfulness. It's apparently just too subtle of a distinction for some to grasp

If you expect to make th playoffs, you need quality at the more important, high value positions. The fact you need to take care of all positions is a good one, but the Colts have acquired WR, QB and defensive pass rush help in the 2020 off season. They have rebuilt the Colts much the same way KC did starting with the line and supporting players.
If you are now revising history to reflect recognition of how good the guy is, why did you think they would soon be "getting rid of" this player who has been a very good draft choice, especially as he may become the face of the team.

So you thought it was a serious suggestion to play him at receiver and get rid of him?
You have no business accessing the internet. It's probably dangerous for someone with your limits

Better late than never It shows the kind of out of the box thinking not bound by conventional wisdom for which you are renowned. Good job!

Yes. He was instrumental in the colts becoming the 9th best rushing team...which was vital in their 7 win season. That's MVP level impact right there

That's probably just about as far as any OG can move the needle. Which is why the positional value is so low
