IMO Teague should have a green light to shoot from the foul line in and should start at the #5 spot. As to recruiting? Until if and when we can get frontline players to come to BSU, we are going to be the same mid-pack conference program. To say that I am underwhelmed by Whit's recruiting is an understatement.
I know a lot here are understandably upset about today, but who really had us winning up there? For those of us who have watched BSU basketball for decades, WMU has always got the best of us even when we were a legit MAC champion.

Its not that we lost I pretty much expected that. Its how we looked and have looked. To be completely honest we are couple of Persons Prayers away from thinking about this season very differently. I still think we can be a good team but we are not a championship caliber team right now. The problems we have been stating for the last couple years are still there and its starting to like we are exactly the same as the last two years

It’s not that we lost today, or vs UB. It’s that we weren’t even competitive. Out of it from the start and got our asses handed to us. If we aren’t even competitive in Mac games how are we going to challenge for the championship? We look like a 4 or 5 see right now. Not even close two a one or two. As RC said, love our guys, but we are not championship level. Still too many questions and roster deficiencies that should have been addressed by now.

Easy to get down in the middle of the toughest stretch in the conference season.
Very hard for players to be up for all games and this is not the powerful team that wins tough games not playing well. We won Ohio lost this one.
Reevo said it earlier, file this one away, on to next game. Just not much else you can say.

We’ve played this poorly twice in 4 conference games already. So, you saying players can’t be up for 50% of the conference games? Including against the best in the league? Why even play then?

Whitford says he wants Teague to keep shooting 3’s, so there ya go.

Slow starts and poor outside shooting are becoming a bit concerning. Gotta win the next 2. A split or worse and 3-3 MAC start given where we wanted this team to be in yr 5 would be disappointing.

Whitford says he wants Teague to keep shooting 3’s, so there ya go. Yep, I also heard Whitford say that during the post-game interview and I wanted to throw-up. That's one stubborn (or another adjective that starts with the letter s) coach. After today, Teague is shooting 10% on his 3-point attempts for the season. So I guess if he had shot another four 3-point attempts today's game, he would have made one.

Whitford says he wants Teague to keep shooting 3’s, so there ya go. Somebody tell him there is a “stat link” on the BSU website that he can use. Even breaks it down by game. Better yet, tell him it says 10%.

Teague was a pretty good shooter last season, I am not sure what happened to him. He is better than the 10% he is shooting this season, but let's get real he shouldn't be putting up six attempts under any circumstance. A couple a game in an attempt to get his shot back would be understandable.

If we just keep shooting them good things will happen.. Not sure there is another answer. You can be reasonably sure he is hitting the shots in practice, and coaches are sitting there knowing he can hit them. If he is taking good shots, doing what works in practice... Of course, it would be nice to have several players to play at the position. If one is in a shooting slump, bench him, limit his minutes, play him in games you'll win anyway, let him work out in practice. If he isn't hitting in a particular game, other guy gets the minutes. But even then, even the best teams usually have to let the guy play and suffer through the slump to some degree. While it is sometimes possible to just go to plan B, in a tough game you want to do what gives you the chance to win, and when shots don't fall, you just sometimes don't win. In football terms if you are a passing team and your offense is not playing well, how often do you have a championship QB on the bench? Can you switch to a running game in a half time adjustment?
