You actually just agreed with me, but you are god damned dumb, you don't even realize it. Where did BSU throw money at a coaching hire? ( I never claimed BSU threw money at anything) Where did G-W get an immediate turn around on the cheap?(I never claimed anything other than they were paying Holtmann far less than BSU pays Shitbird) How often does that work? (I have no idea, you are the one claiming it does or doesn't, so you tell us) What I see is one school that got a talented coach with experience, but paid for it. Butler hired not cheap and got a very good coach, who left for even more money. Seems to me money is important. (None of this has anything to do with my point at all.) Try your smart move of finding talented coaches on the cheap, that is a big gamble. ( Would you care for a list of expensive coaches that also failed, however to be honest there a hundreds of coaches at both the collegiate and High School level that can both out-coach and out recruit Jimmy Shitbird for even less money) I say no, offer good salary for a good job, you attract talent, and choosing a winner is far more likely. ( Well duh)
