I'll say it. I'd fire both Shitbird and Sandy tomorrow morning and not suffer a sleepless minute.

Come on boys. Am I going to have to come in there and separate you? My dad once told me that he lived out in the country and he and his brother had been fighting all morning and ignoring mom's warnings so she tied them back to back until they could be civil to each other. It didn't take long for them to wise up. Do we have to do that to you for you to be civil to each other? 😄

I've advocated a tighter rotation and, frankly, Tyler wasn't a big part of what I wanted that rotation to be so ...
On the other hand, we are definitely short-handed, but I'll be interested to see what the current roster does the rest of the way. Burning Huggins red-shirt is the only option for increasing roster depth. That seems unwise, and it wouldn't help us at guard anyway.
Granted, Akron is one of those teams with interior deficiencies to match our own, so we'll likely face worse match-ups going forward, but I want to see what Persons and Teague can give us day in and day out with 36-38 minutes of court time. If those two can carry us, I think we can still be successful.
I didn't get to see the Akron game so I don't really know how Teague scored his points, but he wasn't taking a lot of threes. Will he revert to 3s against stronger interior teams; god, I hope not.
Sellers' unwillingness to shoot remains a disappointment for me. To me, he's the purest shooter on the team and although he leads the team in 3-point attempts, he's fourth in overall attempts. I think its worth trying to get him more than 6 shots a game.

We don’t do things to shake Sean open.

We don’t do things to shake Sean open. Move him to PG. 18 & 22 shots the last two games. 40 shots generating 45 points. EFFICIENCY.

Like it or not Persons is going to be chucking up a ton of shots probably more now. Its not an ideal situation and we are better when that is not the case but we are going to need him to average 15-20 from here on out to have any chance.. We have no reason to believe Mallers, Trey and Teague can replicate what they did the last game. If they somehow keep putting up better numbers then we may not see the uptick in shots from Persons

If they somehow keep putting up better numbers then we may not see the uptick in shots from Persons I may be mistaken, but I thought Persons was at 20 shots at the end of regulation. We played an additional 10 minutes, and won. If that is true, then we don't require him "jacking" it up.

I apologize.

I have no Idea how many shots he took but he is the only guy on the team that we know with a doubt will score for us every game. If Mallers and Teague have games where they do not show up. Points and shots have to come from somewhere. Tyler and Walker shots are gone. Who knows whats up with Kiapway. Thompson if forced into action is not going to shoot. Sellers shots comes from wide open looks he does not create anything. Where do you expect shots and offense to come from.

We don’t do things to shake Sean open. Unfortunately some of that may be Sean is not real easy to scheme for. He isn't a real quick on the trigger shooter, who you can screen for to get open, and isn't really good on the bounce to use isolation. Even if we have a post up, nobody leaves him to double. But mostly I think it is that we have had others, including Tyler who are more of threat with the dribble and off the ball screens. So he becomes the threat outside which opens up the middle of the court because his defender cannot leave him. And he can be the pick and pop guy on those exterior screens. Like in chess he is the move you threaten and it's useful even though you don't execute the threat, it creates other weaknesses.
