Three things are certain in college basketball each year: 1) The ridiculous "over-rated!" chant when a highly ranked team goes down, and subsequent court-rush and wild celebration for somehow managing to beat the team that really wasn't all that great anyway, apparently. 2) Bill Walton on nationally broadcasted games rambling on and on about how UCLA cheated their butts off while he was there while the NCAA covers their ears. 3) Big 12 officials finding a way to help Kansas win the conference for the 1,340,503,039th year in a row. (And then there's Ball State doing Ball State things...but I said three, so I have to stop. I'll let the General take it from there.)

This was our Eastern Michigan game for this year!! Not necessarily the raining of threes but rather the total butt kicking from start to finish! Nice win birds!

It is fun to go to a home game and kick ass,and in this case we did beat one of the good MAC teams by an unexpectedly large margin. Nice to do that once in a while!

As long as we don’t collapse like we did after that emu obliteration a couple years ago we’ll be in good shape.

As long as we don’t collapse like we did after that emu obliteration a couple years ago we’ll be in good shape. We went from shooting lights out against EMU to not able to hit a shot for 3 games. That team did not have the toughness this one has had, so I'm not as worried about collapse as I am about these games just being tough where all the teams are back to the wall and need wins. And I don't like some of the match ups. Germane and a quick team, a physical Western team, and then a road game in Michigan, too. On paper supposedly a relatively easy stretch, mostly games we are favored or at worst 50-50, but I'll continue to worry.

You know we are rather highly ranked in RPI, especially after Toledo, even without considering winning margin. Over rated in the top 100 there IMHO, Sagarin and KenPom more realistic at around 150. In any case 3rd in the MAC, a little above 6 teams, a little behind Toledo. Sagarin's "RECENT" rating does have us in the top 100 (68) based on our recent results only. I wonder if 2-2 or 3-1 would keep us in the top 100 RPI. No wonder halftime is absent, he probably can't stand that result after years of setting that as a benchmark we were not ever going to achieve... Closing 2-2 would probably drop us slightly since NIU has a relatively low power rating.

3-1 is my guess but we could very well run the table

Rusty I am in agreement I see us taking all four but I have doubts about performing well in Cleveland. I think Toledo will have problems with EMU but I do think a zone is not the way to defend them. Lets just knock off NIU & play on.

Expected near 100,thought we might crack the top 100. Also thought we might win the MAC regular season, but UB has just been too good.
