He had better win this year because 2020 does not look as bright except maybe against EMU. How can you get discouraged about 2020 when we have the mystery man from Canada coming? I'm being sarcastic of course. Every time Whitford uses his last scholarship on a "Big Man" after failing to get the "Big Man" recruits he really wanted, it's been a disaster. Think Nate Wells, DouDou Gueye, or even Huggins. I don't see Ben Hendriks working out any differently. Hope I'm wrong. Incredibly difficult to find any stats for Hendriks. I have to assume he isn't scoring much on the "Select Team" he plays for.

Sweep do you come on this board because you just like to argue and criticize like a troll. I don’t think its because you’re a Card fan. Do you not have any family, because you seem to spend a lot of time on here trying to find someone who gives a f--k about your opinion........... Maybe you could announce your intent to leave the board... again... and return under a new name... again. You're such a drama queen.

Remind me when BSU retires Zach Gunns number and Whitford takes the Lakers job. I could point out how horrible your forecast was last night, but I'll let it go.

I think the answer is C BSU currently has the oldest team in the MAC so I expect at least a 2-3 MAC win regression next yr and another 3 win regression after Tahjaj is finished in 2020. If BSU doesn't qualify for the NIT or better this yr I think whitfords job will be a bit tenuous after end of 2020. Hopefully I'm wrong about choice C, I truly want the best for BSU.

If BSU doesn't qualify for the NIT or better this yr I think whitfords job will be a bit tenuous after end of 2020. Hopefully I'm wrong about choice C, I truly want the best for BSU. I understand the losses we are looking at. Although Trey has not yet been 100%, losing him and Persons is big.
But. With good teams you always lose good players. And yet you don't always regress at all. We have 11 guys coming back, some will be better and move into those roles or improve in their current role, and if they don't they may play fewer minutes.
Adding Thomas, Acree, Coleman, and 3 freshmen will make up some of the loss.
Plus, we may have Hazen and Ish for the whole MAC season (or may not). And, however stridently somebody wants to criticize our other players, a year can be a big help. Especially for kids like Huggins who needs to adjust to a higher level of competition, hasn't played much at a high level. Plus, based on our history with R/S players, our R/S players will be better than they were before this year.
I am looking forward to some increased athleticism overall, and Bumbalough sure has been an impressive HS scorer.
Our regression in the MAC may be that much next year, but I doubt it. After another year after next, and losing Taj, and Mallers, and Josh, we will see another group of newcomers and no doubt we will worry. Predicting how good the rest of the MAC will be then is also not something I am prepared to do now.
Two years out? No way to predict the results even with next year's newcomers, much less 2 years down the road with new recruits, one class where we have no idea at all about. Very hard to predict very well current player development that far out. There will be some. I certainly don't expect a 6 game swing over 2 years.
Naysayers having to worry about two years from now is a little new, usually they predict imminent disaster, but naysaying is par for the course here. According to them we were never going to reach our current level, crack the top 100, top 80 now in Sagarin, or beat the good teams we have the last 2 years.

I've made no big forecasts regarding Whit to my memory which admitedly is getting old.
I believe my prediction on potential Ball State basketball Hall of Famers was that one not all of the players I mentioned could become just that....Zack Gunn likely not although I believe he'll continue to get much better...if he could learn to move his feet better but with Teague I believe I've got a fighting chance....kid is having a great season thus far...consistent scorer at a very high FG % and rebounder! He will very likely be ALL MAC First team with a year to go....so I think my prediction could very well be in the hunt.

Wasn’t Ish the other Hall of fame candidate?

Yes, maybe my third choice, and ISH was really beginning to blossom before this injury...but, I only said one...and right now Teague is clearly in the hunt...if he becomes first team MAC two years back to back he'd be hard to deny.
Anyone know how many 2 time All Mac first team'ers we've had?

It was Amin, Gunn or Hollywood.

Not true always had Teague.
From months ago Sweep....
Post by thebsukid on Feb 17, 2018 at 3:05pm I said early in the season that one of 3 BSU players would become BSU Hall of Famers...Teague, Amin, or Gunn....I'm liking my chances!! Teague looks unstoppable the last several games since he quit relying on the 3!!!
And, our interior has been dominating lately too.
And, further Sweep you said KJ would average 6...I said more than 10.....want me to post that to or do you remember....when it comes to projections or bets you can't find your ass with either hand.....I've crushed you.
