Tomorrow likely has huge implications on MAC tourney seedings. We need McDermott and/ or Baker to come through with a monster performance.

Ok - I will buy into that! I think Mens VB would be similar scenario but haven’t checked. Just seems like we feast on lesser quality opponents and falter against the better opponents typically. I do believe until recently our facilities were a serious impediment but feel we are in a much better situation facility wise. So hopefully we will start seeing some MAC Championships down the road near term. Funny that you are so supportive of football, a sport that has completely died on the vine (with more relative resources, mind you), but rip baseball (and volleyball), one of our few sports actually worth following. You need to go look at the facts - we regularly beat opponents we shouldn't in baseball. Keep in mind IU is a national player and their budget is literally multiples of ours. Our budget is still in the bottom half of the MAC in baseball, and our facility, while much nicer, was dramatically scaled back when construction started. As for Men's Volleyball, what do you expect? We aren't even in the same league as our "peers" in the MIVA, let alone east and west coast schools, when it comes to resources and support. Joel is patching together a competitor against the odds, as is Rich. Ball State is more committed to football, relatively speaking, than any other sport, and it is a complete waste of resources. [ CallingBS - I accept your view point and it makes sense. I never knew we were inferior in facilities/recruiting in Men’s VB. How so? I ask the same for baseball as I believed the new stadium placed us near the top in the MAC. Do we not offer the same number of scholarships as others in the MIVA and MAC?

Cards take game 2 at Miami 6-1. Baker goes 8 scoreless, 6-hit innings with a workhorse 130 pitches - impressive against Miami's lineup.

Happy to see us take the series. McDermott really needs to get control of his pitches as we need a 3rd strong starter.

We’re batting .303 in MAC and have 8 hitters above .300 That’s impressive

Glad Baker had a great outing. I'm certainly pleased with 2 out of 3 this weekend.

Where has the axe grinding Northsider character been.. Did who ever he knew Graduate? If BSU loses 2 MAC series consecutively I would almost bet he will chime in on Maloney.

We're usually not recruiting against the MAC only. We are recruiting against the Big 10 and MVC as well, and are facilities are still holding us back for baseball.
