If Teague is, in fact, Rashaun Richardson 2.0, then it's just a question of how many poor-to-mediocre seasons will be tolerated until Whitford is canned. I see absolutely no reason to compare to Richardson. He was not a star at his HS, nor did he make the all star team, or play as well the same level of AAU ball. Your innate skepticism about any BSU basketball decision and general depression is misleading you to make that comparison. Richardson was not a headline recruit or primary target for Whitford, but given the alternatives available, a recruit worth a gamble with physical ability to develop. He is the kind of long lean athletic player who could become very good. If that works out, we may see him back here, probably will see him play D1 after his JUCO years.

"Davante Cooper at 6'10 was offered a full ride to Tulane and Tennessee...not to shabby!!" He is a 2 star and and a far as I can tell wasn't offered by Tennessee or Tulane. "Luuk Van Bree, who killed us with 3's played on his national team and in the CBA!!!!!!" He played on a U18 team, not the national team, and he played for the Canarias Basketball Academy not in the CBA. What's really funny is the guy was 2-8 on threes. You and 00hmh need to start sharing meds or something. I not even going to bother to look up the other two players you mentioned. And Cooper did zip against us so I'm not real sure what the point of the "facts" is.

"Richardson was not a headline recruit or primary target for Whitford,"
Yet you seem comfortable with Teague being a primary target, even though there is obviously something up.

A truly poor season this year would be good reason to can the coach.
Mediocre W/L record with good play, improvement, good recruiting and a good season in the offing next year seems likely. Without scandal and misconduct, that is more than enough to see Whitford succeeding here and to bet on him.

How about the others Cardfan?? Here's whats fact and not emotional...you call them terrible program, etc. etc and I point out that they have some very good recruits which Cooper is and the others contributed big time and have significant bb experience....tell me I'm on meds....tell me I'm over the top...etc... I am simply stating unemotional facts and not demeaning you with suggesting ...over the top...etc. By the way, English 100 suggests facts are not is?
The aforementioned is what I mentioned last night in terms of how you are nasty...name call...etc. FACT.

Point is, facts are. The is goes with the word point.
And I said nothing about meds. Nasty? Name call? I've yet to call you a name, other than kid. But I will go ahead and say you are acting like a kid right now.
If you want to beef about meds talk to halftime.
If saying you're over the top sometimes is the worst thing said to you then you are in good shape brother.

The Teague-Richardson comparison may be valid in that they could end up with the exact same BSU career statistics. After yesterday, and not knowing what's going on, that's my fear.

Obviously something up? Hold on, we don't know that and don't know what something is up, if it is. Let's see what if anything it means. Comfortable with the recruit? Sure. He is a big talent for our level. Like good to great talent across the MAC, if you want to compete, you take a few chances recruiting. We took chances with every great recruit we have ever had. Kids with great academic potential who never screw up in the classroom, flawless character with no possible maturity issues or other problems, and also having great 3 or 4 star talent, whatever that means, rarely end up at mid major schools. Name one in our history.

Yeah, and if Bonzi had stepped in front of a bus the stats would be the same too. I understand the fear, you nail that. Fear is real. But let's not compare the recruiting decisions. You recruit a kid, it is always a gamble at some level. Doesn't mean you don't take some chances. The reasoning behind the recruiting in the two cases is substantially different.

Have I ever called you over the top...and I can find other examples...but I won't go there...please don't call me brother.. ? Good lord. Over sensitive much? I did say you're over the top sometimes. You are. You've tried to bet everyone on here we'll win at least 15 Games. The last several years you've proclaimed us a big winning team in November only to see us go sub .500. That doesn't mean anything other than you're over the top sometimes. I have not called you anything else. Seriously, let it go. It's not that big a deal.
